How long have you been a DISer?

Hi all,
Just lately, I've noticed that all the posts I read are written by members who have been on the DIS a lot less time than me. Nothing wrong with that but I just found it odd. When did that happen?

So I've been a member since 1999, who can beat that?

I was a regular on Dave's Disney Cruise Line Tribute Page. He had a link to the DIS, and to be honest I thought the DIS was part of HIS website. I didn't join the DIS until about a year of lurking. Remember, in 2002 the internet was still a dark and scary place and you had to be careful about "signing up" for forums for fear of them putting a virus on your computer..

I started here just lurking on the Trip report board but started posting on one and made great friends. We got sent to the community board to keep talking. Had to keep restarting threads for years. We even had a mini meet at WDW.

Than Face book happened and our thread got slow to non existent. Do still see them there but not the same.

Now I come here and the cruise board mostly. Lurk in others.

Everyone's profile indicates when they joined. Are you not able to see those on your PC?

Participates come and go. Some from many years ago may have stopped using this site or found some others they like better.

I’ve been here going on 25 years.

Some of the post counts and years aren’t accurate. The DIS changed sites at one time and not everything came up as it once was. Plus there are a few who have had more than one name for various reasons.
