How long has Ding! been sucking like this??

There used to be awesome Dings! At least 5 or 6 great fares from each of the 3 cities I'm registered with. Now, it sucks. Bad. Has it been this way long? My last flight was international so I haven't paid attention to SW in about a year.

I have found a difference too. I see mostly "Tues" flight Ding offers and much less then I used to get
Id still only fly them though!

Ages. I'm registered in three cities, but one is fairly new to Southwest so has never had a Ding. The other two? Stink. Ding fares are competitive with what you can probably get on other airlines, and you're right - the number has dropped WAY off.

SW seems to be concentrating on their weekly sales and not DING. For the last year or so my DING offers have either been non-existent or within a dollar or two of the current sale fares.

I've never seen a Ding fare for PHX-MCO but keep hoping. Right now they are a whopping $425 for our early june trip. I'm hoping they come down before I have to book.

I learned about Ding fares from this board after my fall 2007 trip. I signed up for Ding and have never seen a good fare from PHL to MCO in that time. I added OKC a year and half ago when my son was stationed out there and there isn't anything good there either!

We haven't had a good Ding rate from BWI to MCO for well over a year.

I can remember the last time I saw a ding from Chicago MDW to MCO. At least a year.

Now I just book the flight and check it daily to see if it went down.

Although ding is still out there....its just not the way it was.

2007 was the last time I used Ding! to book my flight. I did not pay attention in 2008 because we were not traveling but in 2009 the weekly deals were way better. But plan on traveling mid week because the only decent price was on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Yes, dings are a thing of the past for me. A few fares show up, but the volume of choices is not even remotely close to what used to be offered with a ding.
