I know Sea World is fairly close, I will have a 720pm flight, tryign to figure out what time I will need to leave there..... any ideas? thanks

The airport is only about 10 miles from downtown Orlando.

Take Interstate 4 east to SR 528 (Bee Line/Beach Line Expressway) near International Drive/SeaWorld.
Take SR 528 (Bee Line/Beach Line Expressway) east to Orlando International Airport (Exit 11B).

Hope this helps.

Not sure as I dont live in that area. I will let someone else answer for you. I would still just give yourself plenty of time just in case.

Is traffic bad at 5pm??? on a thursday night ????? thanks.

Very simply - yes.

Mid-late afternoon, I-4 eastbound very typically backs up at or before the I-4/Rt535 interchange and backups can last all the way to I-Drive and beyond.

The Beachline (Rt 528) can also be a mess during the afternoon rush hours.

Consider getting on Rt 417 (The Greenway) going to MCO using the south airport entrance off 417.

To clarify, where are you leaving from to get to MCO?

Suggest you check a map as Sea World is not "fairly close" to MCO. SW is just east of I-4 by about 3/4 mile+-.

Am thinking of spending our last day at SW. Our flight leaves at 720pm, will have a rental car..... so trying to figure out what time to leave Sea World. Want to get there in ample time, but dont' want hours to kill there, if that make sense. It will be a thursday night(although that probably doesn't matter) thanks.

Sea World is located on Central Florida Parkway.
Leaving Sea World-turn left on Central Florida Parkway to John Young Parkway and get on the 528 here. There will be no need to get on the I 4.
If your flight is at 7:20, you need to be at the airport an hour earlier, add 20 minutes for the rental return, so leave Sea World around 5:20-5:30 and you will be fine.

I would leave Sea World 3 hours before your flight. You should allow 2 hours at the airport.

Think your timeline works well. They close at 6pm anyhow, so figured we would have had enough by 5pm anyhow.... tks.

I would allow 2 hours at airport. You have a car to return and the drive so that would take the extra hour.

We recently visited Seaworld and caught a flight home the same day. We allowed about 2 hours and 45 minutes--we had a 6:45 p.m. flight-- and had a rental car to return and baggage to check.

Per Southwest Airlines website, on Tues-Wed you should arrive at the airport 1 1/2 hours before flight and on Thurs-Mon you should arrive at the airport 2 hours before flight.

Seaworld is located 18 miles from MCO.
