How long from POP to Contemporary?

We have 7:30 ADR's for Chef Mickey's breakfast. What would be the best time for us to leave to arrive on time?

Are you taking Resort Transportation (bus) or driving yourselves?

Bus: Allow 1 hour.

Driving: 10 minutes.

The buses to the Magic Kingdom start everyday at 6:30 AM, so if you get on that one you should be fine. Plus they might also stop at the Contemporary for those guests with ADR's. However I strees the word might because that does not always happen.

From what I've been reading, there should be a "Character Breakfast" bus that runs just for those breakfasts. One should help you get from the Pop to the Contemporary. I'd ask the front desk for help.

Hmmm, thats good to know. When we were there in sept. we had a CM tell us that the busses don't run that early and our only choice was a taxi. I'll have to look into that more.

That Cast Member was wrong because it has been said a lot on here that the buses to the Magic Kingdom from each WDW Resort start everyday at 6:30 AM.

Take the bus to MK. Walk to the Contemporary. There is a path on the right hand side by where the bus drops you off. It will take you about 10 minutes to walk. If walking is an issue then you can take the monorail.
I would leave the hotel room an hour before just to have time to walk to the bus stop, wait for the bus, ride on the bus, walk to the Contemporary. I doubt you'll need the hour but you are better off being early.

Here is something else to keep in mind, if the bus to the Magic Kingdom you are on does not make a special stop for you at the Contemporary. As KiKi Mouse said the walkway to the Contemporary is right by the bus station, however if you took the Resort Monorail you get off on the 4th floor and have a very short walk to Chef Mickey's.

If you have a car I would leave POP 30 minutes early. If you are planing on using the Buses you need to leave an hour early, however with an ADR that early I think I would pay for a taxi instead of using the bus. There is no way I'm getting up at 5:30 or 6 so I can catch a bus at 6:30. Taxis cost about $13-15 each way.
