How long from MK to Epcot?

We've got a MK day, with dinner reservations in Epcot. Id like to return to MK afterward, but am wondering how much this will impact my time in MK.

How long does it take to get to Epcot (chefs de France) from the MK? Is it faster by monorail, or should I take my car? (I cant imagine the latter would be faster, but I didn't want to rule it out, just in case)

Not counting the meal time, how long do you think it would take round trip?

Well if you use Disney Transportation you will either take the Express Monorail or the boat from the Magic Kingdom to the TTC and from there you would get on the Epcot Monorail. So in total I would say it takes about 25-30 minutes.

Now if you were to drive from the Magic Kingdom to Epcot you would still need to take the Express Monorail or the boat from the Magic Kingdom to the TTC, then the tram to the area where your car would be parked. Then there is the actual driving and when you arrive Epcot you need to park and take the tram up to the front entrance. So you could be looking around another 20 minute or more trip when using your own transportation.

It took about 30 minutes for us to take the Monorail to TTC and then transfer to the Resort Monorail to GF for a ressie. It actually was a lot faster than I thought it would be.

Neither.

Take the bus from Magic Kingdom to the Beach Club. Get off the bus, walk through the resort, out the back door, turn left, walk to the International Gateway, enter, bear right approaching Chefs de France - voila! There's France directly ahead of you. Wait time for bus, zero minutes if you hit it right, up to twenty minutes. Ride, ten minutes or so. Walk, ten minutes.

Monorail, you would have to first take the monorail from MK to the TTC, then switch to the Epcot monorail, then walk all the way through Epcot to the back. Figure fifteen minutes, fifteen minutes, twenty minutes.

Drive, you would need to add tram waiting- and riding time to the monorail and walking time.
