Hi Everyone,

How long does it take to get to POFQ from the Orlando airport using Disney's Magical Express? :confused3

Thanks

From de-planing to your resort figure 90 minutes, assuming you head straight to ME, give or take 10 minutes.

We have an ADR at the Poly for 5pm and we land at 2pm. We are concerned about getting to POFQ, checked in, and to the poly by 5pm. Do you think it's doable?

Thanks

It's doable if everything goes perfectly. I would try to move it to at least 6:30, just in case. I wouldn't make a pre-paid ADR for arrival night at all.

Not pre-paid but Ohana so not changeable at this point, but will continue to check for a little later if we can, Thanks for the input:thumbsup2

If you land, ontime, at 2pm, it's going to be close. The earliest you can expect to be at POFQ is about 3:45. Why? Because even though the plane 'lands' at 2, you aren't off the plane for another 10-15 mins. Then, it's about 10-15 mins to the main terminal, unless you speed walk and get right on the tram, with no wait. Even then, it's going to be close to 10 mins. Then, 10 mins down to DME area, average of 10 mins in bus line, 10 mins on the bus waiting to leave, and 30 mins to the first resort, which may very well be FQ. That's about 70 mins right there...which is the average time..it can be more than that. I always plan on 2 hrs total from plane to resort.
Then, you have to get checked in, into your room, freshened up. Out to the bus to MK, then either monorail or boat over to the Polynesian. It will be very tight.
You may want to take a cab from FQ over to the Polynesian..that will save you a ton of time.

Thanks for the response, we are definitely going to cab it to the Poly, we also figured that this would save us some big time. So if we can possibly make it to our room in 2 hours then that would give us an hour to get to the main lobby, get a cab and head to Ohana's. I know they are pretty strict on being there on time so hopefully it all goes according to plan.

The thing is our arrival date changed so we had to do a last minute change to our ADR's which meant checking continually for an opening at Ohana which ended up being at 5pm on our arrival date. Not planned but that is the boat we are in at this point.

Anyone else have some thoughts?

You could get to FQ in about 70 mins, which is the average time, but that seems to be happening less and less. It is always a good idea to plan on at least 90 mins, gate (not landing) to resort.
Other than taking a cab over to 'Ohana, there really isn't an alternative that is faster.

I was dropping someone off at the airpoirt, leaving from OKW, which is right next to PO, and took Rte 4/528. The actual drive time was about 30 minutes each way. I did not run into any traffic issues though.
