How long for Epcot?

We're heading down at the end of October, first part of November. From my research, I think it's best to go on a non-EMH day. We plan on showing up at WS for 11 a.m., seeing most of the pavillions and then heading over to FW. I really only want to see the big ticket attractions at FW - we've got more than one day available for Epcot, but it'd be nice to do it on the one day. Possible? Our party includes two families (we have DS 8, DD 2.5), the other family has DS 8, DD 6, DD4 and they've never been.

I'm guessing that we'll be lucky to get WS done, but was thinking if we hit the "fun" countries (Norway, Mexico, US), and then France and/or UK for the kid stuff, we might get back to FW for 4 or 5 p.m.?

No yes? Yes, no?

You may be better off doing FW first, then heading into World Showcase. Even though that's what most people do, it's still a good plan because many of the WS attractions close by 7pm.

Ideally, take two days for Epcot. If not, try for at least one full day and an evening (World Showcase is beautiful in the evening).

Also don't forget that the Food and Wine Festival will be going on. Excellent chance to try out small portions of different foods. Kiosks will be all around World Showcase. And don't pass up the entertainment. The storytellers at the African Outpost, the World Showcase Players in the United Kingdom, the Japanese drummers, Fife and Drum Corps in America, Jammitors in Future World. I really don't think Epcot can be done in a day but that's just me. I love the place.

take two days for Epcot is a must we did all the other parks last week in a day but this park took 2 days!

we usually spend close to 2 days, we go early, go to fw and get to ws around lunch time the first day then do the same the second day. we go through 1/2 the countries each afternoon /evening and 1/2 the fw attractions each morning

its hard ( i think) to see all of epcot in a day. the first time i went we got there at opening, and never had time to do the living seas. last holiday, we missed some of the shows like the one in china. if you wanted to see everything you will probably want a day and a half to two days, if you can

I agree. I don't think it's really possible to do & get Epcot in one day. We actually go to Epcot for at least a couple hours every day we're in WDW. The kids are perfect ages to do Passports around World Showcase & that will take all day - the adults will enjoy it just as much as the kids.

That's just us tho - Epcot has always been our Favorite. But, if you rush from Headliner to Headliner, you will miss alot of the Magic that makes Epcot such an incredible experience.

Whatever you do, make sure that you either go to or get Fast Passes for Soarin' First Thing at opening. If you wait to do that til you finish WS, you'll either wait in a 90 minute line or miss it (FPs will be gone for the day).

Is it possible do see most of Epcot in one day, maybe. Would I recommend it? Never!

Epcot is our favorite park. We spend most evenings at WDW there and some mornings too. We have never run out of things to do or see. Between the entertainment, attractions, cast members, etc. there's always something different and new. It is a fantastic environment, imho. Beyond that, it is very large, and getting around it does take time.

I know that it's hard to make decisions about how to spend vacation time, especially at wdw, but I would try to give Epcot more time than just one day.

Enjoy!

I would take the two days if you can. One day wasn't enough for us with DD3. FW was fun and took some time. Then WS - Kidcot stations and country exhibits took longer than expected. We could have used 2 days to get through all we wanted. DD loved the kid stuff with the masks, the CM's talking about their countries, and the characters you see on the way.

Even though you are not planning on seeing all attractions at Epcot, I would still give yourselves more time. We do park hop...We like to give future world a day, and on another day maybe go to MGM, then Epcot in the late afternoon to visit the countries, grab some dinner, and illuminations at night. (World Showcase is really pretty at night)
Good luck with your planning! ::MinnieMo
