We have an ADR for 6:30pm and would like to be back in the MK for Wishes at 9pm. Is this enough time? We plan to stay right at the entrance and watch Wishes, so we don't need to account for walking time through the park.

Should be plenty of time. You can get through dinner at the Wave in 90 minutes (or less). You can then walk to the MK and be there by 8:15. Plenty of cushion for a 9:00 pm Wishes show, even if you are seated a little late.

I agree, we did appetizer, entree, dessert, and coffee at the Wave and were done in around 90 minutes- I highly recommend the rock shrimp flatbread! Enjoy! =)

We had dinner there twice and both times it took 2 hours from appies to coffee and dessert

U will have plenty of time. BTW The Wave is delicious.:thumbsup2

as long as they are not behind for the seating times you should be fine. we did dinner there for the 2 of us and it only took about 90 mins if not less. you should not have a problem what so ever

Good luck. It depends on the server. I'll never dine there again, even though we loved the food. We were the Dec. 2009 and it took 2 1/2 hours EASY just for us to have an entree and dessert. That was AFTER we were seated. And the place was half empty.

The table next to us (3 people also) was seated after us, had an appetizer, alcoholic drinks, entrees, and desserts and they walked out while we were still waiting on dessert to arrive. Our poor DD10 fell asleep at the table. :lmao: The waitress was beyond useless. Thank God we didn't have any place to be, and were only going back to the hotel.

Never again.

Plenty of time! We were seated about 5 min. after our ressie (8:15p) had a drink before we ordered, ate entrees, dessert, coffe, and were on the boat back to FW at 9:30p. Never felt rushed, and our meal was delicious.

Having been a waitress once (long, long ago!), I'll add that it always makes sense to let your server know your schedule. "We'd like to be finished with our meal by no later than....; don't worry about rushing us, we'd like to be sure we're out by....; if anything we order typically requires more time in the kitchen, please let us know; feel free to keep the meal paced pretty swiftly and drop the check as soon as possible...."

Giving the server the head's up, letting him/her know what kinds of ways you're willing to be flexible to meet your schedule, asking for the check at the point when you KNOW you're not going to order anything else -- do your part to help make it work out so that your server can do his/her part!

I think we had a reservation for about 8:00. After that, we were headed back to the hotel. I didn't think it necessary to say, "We'd like to be out of here before 11:00 rolls around and our 10 y.o. passes out." We knew what we wanted to order 5 minutes after we sat down. We purposely ordered entrees that were "easy" to prepare. But when a server is AWOL, it's hard to place your order, get more tea, let them know you'd like dessert now, you're ready to pay the check, etc. I think she stayed down a rabbit hole 90% of the time. One of the worst servers at WDW I've ever seen. Ruined my impression of The Wave forever.

While I think it's a great idea to let them know you need to be back at MK by a certain time, if you get the jewel of a waitress we had, you'll be lucky to make it to rope drop the next day. :lmao:
