How long does Magical Express take?

So if you have your ME tags, do you skip the ME counter and head straight to the bus? We arrive in 2 weeks and I'm getting confused?! Lol

Question, what we get in our Mickey Mail for the magical express, do we just take that and go from gate to bus and skip the desk? We have Disney package with air tickets and just carryons. We've always stopped at the desk but now I'm thinking we didn't need to?

Usually, if you have your vouchers in the booklet that came with your tags, you will go right to the podiums instead of up to the counter. There should be a cast member there to direct you.

Thank you! I would have wasted time at the counter if not for this thread. I do have our vouchers. :)

I like to go to the counter so I can tell them how many bags I checked. This way if the airline loses one they'll know right away. We usually get there early so there are only a few people on line.

Every time I've gone to the podium they have asked me that question there.

We had the absolute best case scenario our last trip in April. We arrived from LAX to MCO around 7:00am (Red Eye), Walked down to the ME counter (We were the only guests there), they immediately put us on the bus, (We were the only ones on the bus) and it immediately left for our resort. It was like having our own personal HUGE taxi cab!! It took about 25 mins from the time we got on the bus until we arrived at POR. POR even had a room ready for us (super early check-in). :goodvibes

Our Red Eye gets in at 5:40 in the morning. I don't have my docs yet but wanted to be sure that I just put the tags on and go to the podium and then get on the bus and that I don't arrive too early where I gotta pick up my own luggage:confused3?

I have only done DME 1x before (it was also a red eye but the desk was already open and we had just missed the first bus - not a long wait tho for the next one of which there was only us and one other party!

We were directed to a CM to go to the podium - no option to just go straight to the bus. But I never thought to make sure they knew how many bags we have so will be sure to do so this time around. Thanks.

2 years in a row, early February, staying at different resorts, and both times it was pretty much right at 90 minutes from getting off the plane to getting off the ME bus at my resort. (Both times I was the last stop.) 2012 to BC, apparently I just missed a bus, because I was the 2nd party in line, and we had to wait a while. 2013 to POFQ, I had a much shorter wait for the bus, and we were nowhere near full when we left. I actually turned out to be the only one going to POFQ after everyone else got off at OKW and Saratoga.
