How long does it usually take to find a good contract?

If you buy directly through Disney it will probably cost you $31,000. If you buy through the resale brokers it will cost you anywhere from $50 per point (OKW and SSR) to $80 or $90 per point (BCV and BLT)

Two of the re-sellers you can mention on here are Timeshare Store... there is a link to them on this board. They sponsor this forum, and Fidelity. You can Google them.

Your user year is the month in which your annual points are deposited to your DVC membership account.

From what ppl have told me on here, you want a user year where your usual months of travel happen EARLY in your user year. Since we will be traveling October and January, October would be a good user year for us.

I don't currently own DVC either. We will be buying later on this year hopefully.

But I have already come across 2 or 3 good contracts we just aren't ready to buy yet.

I'm curious what happened in the past few days, you seemed so ready to buy before??!?!? :goodvibes

Well I am still "ready to buy" right this very second, but from the GET GO my DH told me we would be buying his HARLEY FIRST before we ever place an offer on any DVC. But he found the Motorcycle he wants to buy yesterday, so hopefully that will happen soon.

I knew when I first started looking it is going to be at least a few months before we buy DVC possibly even after he gets his July bonus at work.

He is paying both our cars off and buying a Harley. SO he doesn't want to have to try to get a bank loan for DVC or take it out of savings since he is about to spend so much. SO his July bonus would pay off the DVC contract as long as we only buy 150 OKW points and pay less than $60 pp.

So we will still get one. =)
