Hello,

If we are using the Disney Express thing approximately how long does it take to get from the airport to Port Orleans Resort? Basically, I need to know when I could expect to arrive at the hotel if my flight lands at 4:30.

Thanks :)

I have used the DME at least 15 times. All of those trips were to either the GF or WL. I time the trip from when I step off the plane, until I walk into the resort lobby. One time it only took 50 minutes, everything went just right. The longest trip was 1 hour and 20 minutes.

The POR may take longer, I haven't stayed there since DME started.

About 3 hours. 2-3 seems to be the general estimate, depending on where you are in the schedule.
This is incorrect.

The general "rule" (and there are some exceptions) is to budget 90 minutes from when you step off the plane to when you're walking into your lobby. The "average" is around 75 minutes.

My experience has been closer to 90 minutes or slightly more, depending on the resort. I usually have a flight scheduled to land around 9:30 AM and usually have the third or fourth resort on the ME run. I have always been checked in, many times carry-on dropped in room, and entering a park before noon.

POFQ will normally be slightly faster than POR since the bus route normally stops at FQ first.

Thanks everyone! I have dinner reservations that it looks like from your replies I shouldn't have trouble making :)

I'll go with 90 minutes. The person who said 2-3 hours must be walking.

Do not make reservation where you need to rush that is when you going to have a problem.

Take an example if you board the Magical Express at 12PM and arrive at the hotel at about 1:30PM. I recommend that you check in first. Then depending and where you're eating allow another 2 hours. So I would make a reservation for dinning at 3:30 or later.

Don't get stress by cutting it to close.

Ok.....figure on 90 mins, it will probably be less. It is seldom more. Yes, it could take longer, but that would be unusual.
But....be careful. If your flight lands, on-time, at 4:30, that gets you to the gate by 4:45. That gets you to POR by 6-6:15. IF your flight is on-time. The one time I needed to be someplace within 3 hrs of landing was the one time my flight was delayed 3 hrs! I had paid for a function at the CR...with Jim Korkis as the speaker I was staying at BLT, so it wasn't going to be an issue. The function was 3 hrs after landing. But, we didn't take off from Boston until the time we 'should' have been landing.....3 hrs late! We got to BLT and checked in. I had a friend who went to the function...she texted me to tell me they were finishing up and Deb and the group were heading to CoP for the rest of the get-together. Met up with the group as they walked to MK!! So, stuff happens. Don't make plans for anything you have to pay for, or do t want to chance missing if your flight is delayed.
