How long does it take your washer to run a cycle of wash on Normal?

Top loader speed queen we got last year. 29 minutes, clothes are CLEAN. Love it!!!!!

I have a whirlpool duet front loader. Regular wash is 40 mins, but I never actually timed it to see what the actual time it is.

Yes, it is totally ridiculous....
These washers are actually designed to use 'soak time', SUPPOSEDLY to save water and energy.
There seems to be no actual objective to get laundry actually clean, in a reasonable amount of time.
What ingenious (male) so-called engineers came up with this. :sad2:

My LG has a quick wash that can be done on 30 min.
but, then I have to run an additional rinse and spin, and add the softener.
As, there is absolutely NO way that the machine actually cleans the laundry, and rinses out the detergent, on that cycle.
So, yeah, in the end, a load of laundry can easily take an hour, or even more.

I was gonna make a comment about how there aren't any female engineers so you must know it was a male, but I don't want to be sexist like that.

Speed queen, longest possible cycle is 33 minutes with the load size set at large and the soil level set as heavy. I only use this for towels and husband’s sweaty gym clothes. Otherwise the cycles I use take 26-29 minutes.

Just ordered Speed Queen washer and dryer this afternoon! Can't wait to try it!
Did not occur to me it would be so much quicker!

We have an LG. On normal, it takes about an hour. I never use that cycle. I wash everything on speed wash...32 minutes.

Sexist... maybe, yeah... a little!!!! Hahahahaha!!!!

But, in all seriousness, what female engineers who are also more commonly responsible for the family laundry, would design washers that do not clean well, and take FOREVER. Technology is supposed to make things easier and faster, right?????

My washer takes however long I set it for. Anywhere from 6-14 minutes. Spin takes a couple, Rinse takes 3, final spin takes 5 minutes or so. Add another 5 minutes for filling and poof. We're out in less than 30 minutes.

Mine is a GE he Turbo, deep fill option, energy star rated.
It can go from 22.. speed wash to 62 heavy duty, minutes.
Many settings ( easy peasy spin of a dial) to choose from. I LOVE it! Matching dryer is also great!
Purchased thru Costco online. Great easy ordering, delivery, set up and ease of use.

Not sure about the 'normal' cycle as I never use it. I use the quick wash - 32 min. - on my Samsung front loader, and the laundry is not only clean, but nearly dry! Love it.

35 minutes. Old fashioned top loader that DH has repaired numerous times. We thought it was done for last year and I went to look at a new one. The saleswoman asked me what I was looking for and I told her one that would work as well and last as long as the one we had. She laughed very hard.

We have a Samsung HE Top Loader and I believe the normal cycle with warm water takes 47 minutes.

We have a Samsung front loader and the "normal" cycle time varies depending on the size of the load and the spin setting we choose. But for what I typically use, it takes about an hour. It estimates "1:08" at the start of the cycle, but the sensor in the washer will spin longer or shorter depending on the need of the load, so its often a few minutes shorter or longer than that.
