I have a Maytag HE washer top loader that takes at least 90 mins to wash a load of clothes on the normal cycle. I have not notice clothing coming out of washer dry but it don't get the clothes clean either if they are very dirty which happens to us all once in awhile.

I have always felt something must be wrong with washer for it to take so long. I'm glad I only do laundry for DH an I I'd never get laundry done if I was still doing laundry for 3 DD's and washing 10 or more loads a week.

Ours takes forever..2 1/2 hours on 40 degrees C. 1 1/2 on 30 degrees C. Drives me mad because it takes so long to do laundry.

We have a top loader, the old fashioned kind. We can still choose how long of a wash to give them. If we set it for 10 minutes it’s done in about 45 minutes to an hour.

I have a top loader bare bones (I almost bought my own washer because I wanted a new fangled fancy one but now that I’ve read they can be a PItA I’m glad I was too lazy to swap out appliances). If I do a medium load normal wash, it takes about 30 minutes. If I do a super size load on super wash it takes about an hour (regular super size is about 45 minutes). Running a cold, cool, warm, or hot wash doesn’t affect the time.

My wife says 40 to 50 minutes for a normal load with our LG front loader. Small load like she just did, 16 minutes. Drying time is much less than when we had a top loader since the front loader spins an amazing amount of water out of the clothing at the end of the cycle.

2007 Front loader, Frigidaire (I hate it, but that aside....) --

Normal wash - 46 minutes
'Speed' wash - 36 minutes
Bulky/Towels wash - 1hr

You can add things like "extra rinse" which usually adds another 10 minutes.

Our washer and dryer is about 20 year old.
Washer takes about 25 on normal.
I usually dry on medium and that can take an hour depending on what I have in there.

We have a front loader, we have to wash a normal load on bulky setting or it doesn't wash well. It takes 65 minutes. :sad2: We can do one or two things on the normal setting in 38 minutes.

I have a Samsung Front Loader HE purchased in January 2015. I normal wash cycle is 56 minutes and the gentle (which is what I do most of my better work clothes on) takes 47.

However, my dryer dries super fast.

GE HE top loader, fairly new, no agitator type. I think between 40-50 minutes, depending on size of load.

Speed queen, longest possible cycle is 33 minutes with the load size set at large and the soil level set as heavy. I only use this for towels and husband’s sweaty gym clothes. Otherwise the cycles I use take 26-29 minutes.

Lg front loader. Purchased in 2012.

Normal wash about 55 minutes

Permanent press (for more than 3 bath towels) about 65 minutes

Speed wash for delicate or small loads is 15 minutes

All my clothes come out super clean and practically dry

The joys of living in Europe :)

Let's not get started on the dryer cycle.
:rotfl:yep
and that isonly for 8 kilos max at a time.

On the plus side, it sure encouraged me to start hanging things to dry---almost as fast as running the drier anyway. When I first oved to Europe I tried to run things through the dryer like I was used to. A year or so later I hung most things. Now? I run the dryer maybe 6 times in a year.

Maytag HE top loader here also, takes about 30 min to do a normal load. 15 min for light load and about 45 for super wash. Washer is about 10 months old. I am very happy with the time it takes to do wash these days!

Check the screen, maybe something is clogging it up preventing the water to enter prolonging the wash cycle.
