How long does it take your portable charger to charge?

I bought a 20,000 mAh portable charger before my trip back in May. Charged it overnight before we left, and plugged it in most nights while we were there. I never had any problems with it running out of charge. I also brought it along on a weekend trip to Seattle a couple of weeks ago, and was kicking myself because I forgot to charge it before I left. It still had enough juice to charge my phone back up to full and keep it topped off while I was doing the tourist thing. Bear in mind, unless you're fully draining the battery each day, you're not going to need to charge it for the full time it says. Most nights I'd be able to unplug the battery after only an hour or two.
