How long does it take you to get to WDW?

We fly.

Time to Airport: 20 minutes
Time in Airport: 1 hour, 30 minutes
Time of flight: 2 hours, 10 minutes
Time in MCO Airport: Approximately 45 minutes
Time to Resort: Approximately 40 minutes

Total Time: Approximately 5 hours, 25 minutes

Flying about 2.5 hours + travel to airport, waiting etc- approximately 7 hours total.

If we drive we usually stop overnight in NC/SC area and it takes us the better part of 2 days. Usually arrive around dinner the 2nd day. Phew!

We used to drive a lot, but ds gets travel sick in the car, so now we sell our souls and pay the airfare from Toronto.

About 45 minutes (I 4 with no traffic). Maybe an hour and 15 minutes if I take the scenic route (SR 417).

We fly.... every time it is different depending on where we fly from and how many connections. This trip coming up in only 13 more days:cheer2: We will leave the house in New Brunswick Canada around 9am to catch a flight in Portland ME at 4:20 pm.... arrive at MCO 12:30 am about another hour till we get to our room. Travel time 17.5 hours. If we drove it would be at least another 10 hours on top. My DH who is joining us at Disney a few days latter will be leaving from Fredericton air port. He will leave the house around 10 am for a 12:30 pm flight that will arrive in MCO at 8:15pm add about another hour so total travel time almost 12 hours.

With traffic, it's about 35 minutes :)

:sad1: I'm envious of those who can visit on a whim. It's a 2 1/2 hour flight from RI. We visit once a year because of the cost of traveling. I guess absence makes the  grow fonder.

About 2 hr 20 from Buffalo....flying.

It's 23 hours from Toronto driving. I love the drive. It's such a beautiful route. The 79/77 route. Gorgeous. WV....aaahhh. I dream about it. And coming down the mountain WV to VA to NC. Breathtaking. Your interstates are so wonderful. The rest stops along there are like a mini vacation in itself. And there nothing like going to meet "spring" in the middle of winter. Nothing.

I absolutely adore road trips. And I love flying. Lucky me.

I live in Boston and I always fly...Take around 3 hrs.

We always fly... I can't stand long car trips. It's about a 2 - 2 1/2 hour flight. Generally we take the earliest flight available... fly out by 6 or 6:30 and have almost a full day to enjoy!

Drive Time 20+ hrs

Fly Time 2 1/2 hrs

Seeing beloved entrance upon arrival...

PRICELESS:love:

We live in the upper part of SC about 15 miles from the mountains/NC border. We always drive and it takes around 9 hours on average, depending on how many stops the kids require.

I like being able to stop and get out whenever we want, be able to move freely around WDW and Orlando if needed, and there aren't really any convenient, inexpensive flights from Atlanta or Charlotte to make flying justifiable. Besides, we would still end up renting a car once we got there.

We drive from Chicago. It takes about 18 hours without stops.
With stops, about 20 hours.

Summer we fly 1-way, rent a car and drive it back. (cheap drive away offers are abundant from MCO) It's about 18-20 hours depending on how much fussing Dh does:goodvibes

Christmas we drive both ways, but we stay 2 weeks so we put alot of space between the long drive.

Any trip shorter than 2 weeks, we fly.

And did someone say "remove Texas?":scared1:
:rotfl:

2 nights for us.

but that's because we have a young child and we don't drive more then 9 hours a day plus stops for lunch, stretching, peeing etc...

when she's older we'll prob do it with 1 night stay

it's a 22 hour drive from Toronto and i've got it marked off with a stop in Summerville WV, Savannah GA and then getting into Disney early afternoon on day 3

14 hrs from NW Louisiana by car. About 14 hours flying from NW Louisiana since we don't have direct flights and they always mess up our flights.

From the time I leave for the airport, till the average time I'm at the check in counter at my DVC resort is about 6 hours.

We must be very close to each other. Live in the corner of SC near the mountains and NC and it takes about 9 hours for us too, with well timed breaks for gas, food, and the potty.

10 hours door to door.

I make it a game and when I fall behind, I get really bothered.

2 hours to SC line
3 hours to GA line
2 hours to Jacksonville
3 hours to Orlando

I only stop at state lines for bathroom breaks, once for gas and once for food which we eat in the car (usually stop at the Arby's at Savannah). We take drinks and snacks with us.
