How long does it take to receive ME tags?

My sister is using ME for the 1st time for her trip Thanksgiving weekend. i had the DVC'er that she rented her points from call about a month ago to set it up. When should expect to receive her tags/info?

A while, I think last time mine came 4 or 6 weeks ahead of my trip.

It doesn't seem to be consistent. We've used ME about a dozen times and the tags have come as early as 3 months prior to departure and as late as two weeks prior. I already have my tags for our late August trip.

Absolutely! Don't worry though...ME has always come through in plenty of time. They may send the tags at various times, but we always receive them. Did the renter ask that the tags be sent diretly to the rentee?

Mine have always come about 3 weeks prior to my departure.

I think the reason is that lots of folks make changes to the reservations, both flight and resorts reservatons. So to avoid double printing and guests using the wrong set of papers they just send them out closer to departure.

FWIW even if you didn't get papers you can still use DME and the luggage delivery as long as you have an advance reservation so no worries.

If her DME booklet doesnt arrive about 3 weeks prior then I would call to be sure its on its way.

I have used DME so often that I can no longer keep track of the number of times I've used it! And with only one exception, I've gotten our info packet, with luggage tags, 4-5 weeks before departure. The only time, and it was just the one time, that we didn't get our packet before our departue day was when I booked a week before we were going to leave. DME needs at least 10 days to get the stuff printed and out to your home. My packet was waiting for me when I got home from that trip.

However, I have a friend who hasn't gotten her stuff at all on several occasions. There seems to be an increase in frequency of not getting the info packets. If you have booked in plenty of time, and don't get the packet by the 3rd week before travel, call DME and see if there is an issue.
