How long does it take to get your Magic Band?

Excited. Had ours customized last night for our October stay @ BWV.

Thanks for posting this question, I've wanted to hear this answer too for our November trip.

There is a certain window for customization which is noted on the customization page (21 Day Left, 2 Days Left, etc.). Once that window closes they will ship the bands the next day. Right now they are using UPS and shipping over night. We got the notification that they had shipped at 5:21am (they had shipped at 9pm the night before) and had them in our hands by 11:00am that same morning.

Right now the window closes 30 days before check in. If you book less than 30 days out you have 1day to customize. Eventually I believe the plan is to ship via the USPS and send bands at 10 days out, but for right now it is UPS and 30 days.

We were @ 31 days yesterday & it said yesterday was the last day to customize.

Ours had to be customized by September 6th. We received all three in a personalized box on the 11th of September. It's a really nice presentation, and did not take long at all. Hope this helps. Have fun!

How did you all get notified? From DVC or was it on the Disney app? My trip isn't until December but I just linked my premium annual pass to our ressie. Wondering how I would know when to customize.

I can't remember the dates, but I customized mine on a Friday and received them the next Tuesday.

I checked MDE and was able to customize my Magic Bands before I was officially notified. I received an email sometime afterwards and then a letter in the mail after that.

I linked my DVC, ressies, & AP's. Just clicked on Magic Bands in MDE. Did not get an invite.

It is my understand that only reservations at specific resorts through month of October are being invited. But hopefully it won't be long be November reservations are included.

Ordered on Tuesday, arrived on Thursday. Never expected them to arrive so quickly.

We ordered on a friday and they arrived Tuesday, but probably only because Monday was labor day. They are shipped overnight UPS I think.

We are arriving 10/31 and I have until 10/1 to customize mine. Message today on DME said 16 more days until I can't change it anymore. I would assume that they are going to be mailed right after that date.

Do your fast passes have to be done before you can get the band? Or do you just customize your band and then connect fp+ to it later?

I did my FP+ as soon as I saw on MDE that the magic band was ready to be customized. Also linked my ADRs and tickets.

Update- ordered Friday, Sept. 13. Got email this morning Tues, Sept 17 that they shipped UPS.

Also, got email yesterday that we were invited to participate in MagicBand testing (after we had already ordered our bands) lol

Help..I'm lost.

I booked a trip for October 14-17th only last week. Yesterday I received the invite via mail to do the MyMagic+. So I went to MDE and linked my resort reservation and my AP to it. Then I added FP+.

I do not see any place where it says I had a deadline to do this. It did ask for my address to have the band shipped to me, but it also said I'd either get it in the mail or it will be ready at check in. So I don't know whether or not to expect it in the mail?

I also do not remember linking my ADR's. Was I supposed to? If they are already showing in the regular MDE itinerary pages is it necessary to link to the Magic Band? Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, also, how does the Magic Band work with check in if I checked in online before I even got the invitation to do the MyMagic+?

My MagicBands arrived today.
When I ordered on Friday, Sept. 13, it said that was the last day to customize (31 days prior to stay). When I got my invite, it said Oct. 3 was the last day to customize? Weird.

MagicBands are used for room keys, room charges, park tickets, & FastPass +. I don't think they are used for ADR. However, it said you can get FastPass for BOG but did not see it as option when I went to sign up for it.
