Hi Guys, I dont drive and there are six of us too expensive for mears so the bus is it for me. Does anyone know how many transfers and how long it will take from pop to universal? I looked up there website but it is too confusing. Please help!!!:surfweb:

I'd take the lynx to Seaworld (Bus 50?) and then transfer to another bus or cab over to Universal. Can't be that much from Seaworld?

I've done the Lynx bus from TTC to SW, and it was terrific. But, most will try to discourage people from trying to take it to Universal. There are several transfers if I remember correctly. I hired a towncar service for $60 r/t but there were only 4 of us going to Universal. I know that Mear runs a shuttle bus to Universal. You call them the night before and they will give you a time. I forget how much pp it is though.

Off the top of my head:
First, you have to take the Disney bus from Pop Century to either Magic Kingdom or Epcot.
Then you need to take the monorail to the TTC.
Then you board a Lynx bus.
Then you have to transfer from that bus to another bus - the directions I've seen in the past indicate riding the first bus to downtown Orlando and transfering there, but a few weeks ago somebody posted a slightly less roundabout route.
Then you have to walk from the bus stop to the Universal Hub, and from there to the park entrance.

While I don't know how long it would take, it seems with all those different modes of transportation, and the transfers (and not even taking into account the wait time for any particular leg), you'd be using a good couple of hours at least just getting TO Universal.

Takes approximately 20 mintues to Seaworld on the Lynx. No transfer to Seaworld. Universal is clse enough to Seaworld for cabs to be quite cheap?

Is there a taxi number you could call? Any 1-800 numbers?

at $17 per person round trip for a Mears Shuttle or $50-$70 roundtrip for a taxi / private car, i'd honestly advocate taking LYNX out of the picture.

first off, even if you did just transfers between buses, orlando's public transit system isn't on par with most major cities'. it's more like a suburban bus system - there for those who need it, but really not a choice method for getting around. works great for sea world because of the direct route from the TTC, but not a frequent schedule and not usually very direct either.
