I had a room-only reservation which I had paid a deposit on. I then changed to a package so supposedly, they were going to refund that deposit and then charge my credit card for the package. Well, isn't it interesting that the package charge has posted but my deposit has not. Just wondering if any of you had anything refunded and how long did it take for you?

I've ususally seen the credits from cancelled reservations in about 7 - 10 business days.

Which, by the way, seems to be common with credit card refunds in general. Ever return anything to a store? Same thing. It's amazing how a charge will be posted to your card the following day, but refunds usually take more than a week.

It can take 7-10 business days for either charges or refunds to post. You may see things posting on different days in this case if the refund and the charge are done in different areas.

I believe the CM at the time of reservation posts the charge, but they have always made reference to 'accounting' doing the refunds.

I cancelled a reservation a few weeks ago and I got my refund credited three days later, which I actually found shocking, because refunds historically take longer (not just Disney, credit cards in general).

If it's been longer than 10 business days, I would call again referencing the cancellation number they gave you (or at least they gave me one and said to keep it until the refund posted).

I cancelled my 1st ressie. The 2nd ressie deposit posted/debited the next business day. The refund deposit from the 1st ressie posted/credited on the 2nd business day after my call.

A lot depends on your bank/CC company's guidelines also.

I would call also.

As a former credit card employee I can tell you that it can take 1-3 billing cycles to show a refund. it depends on when the credit is issued, when it goes thru and when the bank applies it.

Amazing that sort of thing is tolerated in such an automated business. 3 billing cycles? Thankfully I've yet to experience such... service (if that word is still appropriate)

Personally, I wouldn't tolerate a bank that didn't apply my credits (if they received them) within a few days. Anything else is robbery. Period.
