to get to and from the MK from the AKL? I have read everything from 15 minutes to 40 minutes. Travelling back late at night with 2 kids I would like to have a good feel for it.

We will probably only do one late night and that would be MVMCP at the MK - do you think we will have to wait extra long for a bus on such a busy night?

Thanks,

J

If you are fortunate to walk to the bus stop and an empty bus is waiting there with no line, the ride from MK bus stop to AKL bus stop will take 15-20 minutes.

Any lines, etc, and your trip will take longer.

Thanks I am relieved the actual ride is only about 20 minutes, however I have to take into consideration we may have a longer wait time with crowds.

I suggest that you do not rush out of the park if you stay until closing. In June we watched Wishes and then sat on a bench near the castle for maybe 15-20 minutes while most people poured down Main Street to the exits. By the time we slowly walked to the bus stop it was quiet. Although Disney runs extra buses for peak times such as park closing you are still better off leaving way before or after park closing to avoid the crowds.

Keep in mind you have the option of taking a taxi back to your resort. You can take the ten minute walk from the MK entrance to the Contemporary and catch a taxi from there. Or you can monorail over to any of the MK resorts and grab a taxi. They are normally waiting outside all WDW resorts. If one is not available a Cast Member will get one for you right away.

Thanks WDWGoofee. I often wondered about taking a taxi. That's a good alternative especially on a busy night.
