...to drive to Disney World from Central Ohio? We will be driving from Columbus and going through Virginia and the Carolina's... 77 to 26 to 95. Google Maps says 16 hours, but I'm thinking we can make it in 14. What do you guys think?? We leave this Saturday!!!:woohoo:

I have a 14 hour drive from MD. The fact that we usually drive faster than the map estimate combined with being longer due the breaks for food, gas, etc. usually make it kind of a wash, and the maps are pretty accurate time-wise. If anything, it usually takes us a bit longer.

We've gone a few times from Columbus, more like Hilliard area and driving 65-70 MPH, stopping only for gas and car food....it took 16+ hours easily.....but there's no hurry really so why speed....alot of troopers out and not worth the 200.00 ticket, if you know what I mean....17 hours would be a reasonable amount of time .......

We live in Cleveland area and its about 16 1/2. I never go more than 5 mph over speed limit because op is right, troopers everywhere!!!! I think you could safely do it in 15?? We will be behind you a few days, were leaving next Thursday, going the same route.

Not sure where in Virginia you will be picking up 95, but from Richmond, Va to WDW takes us 12 hours.

It takes us about 16.5-17 hours from Cleveland.

We haven't drove it in about 15 years but we may have to this year. We drove from Grove City and we are pretty certain it took us 14 hours. We probably did 10-15 mph over the speed limit. My hubby is a bit of a speeder.

We made the drive from Wooster (I77 to 26 to 95 to 4) and it was around 17 hrs on the way down. Going home we got held up on I-95 due to construction and an accident so it was more like 18.5 going north.

Not from your area, but Mapquest shows 16 hours for me - if my history with Mapquest estimates is any indication, I'd say 18 is more realistic.

Depending on how much you stop and what time of day you're going (like if you hit major cities in rush hour...).

We would always drive 75 down, not 77. If we were going all the way to Boca Raton it would take us 18.5 hours (driving time... of course we stopped in Valdosta for the evening).

Let's see... if you left at 3:30am, you would be through Cinci AND Lexington before rush hour (if you went down 75). The evening rush hour wouldn't be until you were past Atlanta. Leaving that early and taking short potty/gas breaks.... yeah, I bet you could do it in 16 hours.

We drive from the Ashland area (about an hour north of Cleveland), and it takes us about 16.5 hours, too. We usually do 69 in a 65 mph zone. Enjoy the ride. The view in Fancy Gap, VA is pretty amazing!
