How Long Does Everyone Wait to Cash Out?

I've always been one to cash out as soon as I hit the minimum reward level in any given program 'cuz: 1) I've always had a trip coming up fast that I want the reward for and 2) I'm always worried about programs closing up and losing what I've earned.

Now we don't have a trip planned for over a year and I can "afford" to wait and build up more points in my programs, but I'm still leery about waiting.

Anyone have any advice to convince me to be patient? :)

Personally, I would cash out anyway. Like you said, always the danger of the program closing or, as Milesource did, upping the points needed to such high levels.

I cash out as soon as I can whether I am going on a trip soon or not. (although I go alot so I guess I always have a trip soon!)

I think it depends on what program you are doing. MyPoints, Creations, Millers, I would wait. Other programs that I would cashout right away for are Memolink (and good luck getting that anyway), Milesource ('cuz it will take you that long to get it anyway), LuckyPoints and SRR because they are run by Memolink. (But I've had good luck with LuckyPoints in the past.)

QuickRewards and PCHPoints I don't know for sure, but would probably wait.

Good luck!

Thanks for the opinions!! :) Anybody else??

It depends. I usually don't cashout at the lowest level. I wait until I reach whatever the "average" cashout value is, or a little better. I haven't cashed out at MyPoints since we've gotten back from our trip. Partly because I haven't decided what I can "use" right now. (Had I known the giftcard/rebate I was waiting for from Circuit City directly was going to take so long, I probably would have cashed out for a giftcard from MyPoints and used it towards DS's new TV along with the other one.) At PCH and LuckyPoints I have cashed out for the $15 WalMart cards, and received all of them no problem. I am, of course, still waiting for anything I've ever cashed out for at Memolink (a $25 and $15 WalMart card). At Greenfield, I just request a check whenever I see I've gotten money. A few times they've combined more than one request into one check when they were made close together.

I usually wait with Mypoints until I have enough for a $100.00 webcertificate. I've done a lot of shopping through them - all the Christmas and birthday shopping, and I've been shopping with vitacost through them for my diet needs, lol. BTW, I have always been credited immediately by Vitacost - and the prices are good, so if anyone is looking for a health foods/vitamins place online I recommend them.

I get the webbie, go to the Disney store, buy a gift card, and then trot over to Newport Centre and get Disney Dollars. Takes awhile but I love getting those DDs.

I dropped out of milesource a long time ago. They kept upping the points and I didn't have time for it anymore.

I'm able to cash out on Creations Rewards at the $5 level right now but since I'm not going until October, I think I'm going to try and hold out for at least $10 :) I think their program is pretty trustworthy so I think my points are safe there :)

On Mypoints, there isn't much that I can cash out for since I'm from Canada ... So I usually just pick a gift certificate and cash out for that as soon as I have enough points.
