How long do you wait for your guide to call you back?

Hi,

We called our guide Monday in regards to being W/L for an add-on at BCV. We haven't gotten a return call from him. For me, being called back promptly is very important, and the flip side is that it's a pet peeve of mine when a business person fails to call back within a timely manner. I called around noon on Monday. To have not gotten a call at all, even a voicemail, is frustrating. The longer we wait to hear from him, the longer it will be before we can be put on the wait list.

What should we do? And, worst case scenario, if he doesn't call back, can we call and request a new guide? If so, how does this work?

I understand completely where you are coming from... I can't stand a call not returned. I would call DVC and ask for a new rep. Oh.. and tell them why...
 
You dont need to actually speak to your guide to be put on a wait list. You can call member services and just speak to someone in reservations. There have been a few guides that are no longer with DVC, maybe your's is one of them?? Who is your guide?

I believe the OP is referring to adding points to his contract not making a reservation so he needs to talk to someone in sales not ms.
To OP:
My guide has always returned my calls within 24 hours even when she has been at meetings or off for a day or so. I would just call the main DVC number and explain what you want to do. If your guide is on vacation or no longer with DVC they will find someone to help you.
 

OP here. I was referring to adding on points to our contract. Thanks for the input. I did a search on our guide, and I read a thread that, albeit small, only had positive things to say about him. My sister was pleased with him when she bought-in. I did call back yesterday and left another message. This time, the message states he will be out of the office until Friday. If we don't get a call tomorrow, I'm going to call DVC and complain or ask to be put on the waitlist due to not getting a call back and wanting these points asap.
