How long do you think before SSR sells out?

I ask this question because I really want to buy but financially DH and I won't feel totally comfortable until probably early 2005. Just bought our first house and expecting our first baby in Sept 2004. My plan is to be off work after the baby is born until Jan. 1 of 05 and then go back part-time, however not at my current job (which I hate). So things are kind of up in the air but if all goes as planned (I know - we plan, god laughs) we'd like to buy in the early part of 2005 as long as I am working at least part-time.
Sorry to go into all these details but I just wanted to see if you all thought SSR would still be available. I know there is talk about a place at Eagle Pines but we're really not interested in one there.
Thanks!!!!

I am sure Disney is planning on SSR taking some time to sell out, since they have not official announced the start of Eagle Pines yet. There are going to be quite a few buildings at SSR, so I don't think you have to worry about it not being available, but I do think you might have to consider that the price may increase or the incentives will go away.

SSR is Disney's biggest DVC resort to date. IMHO it will still be selling in 2005 when you are interested.

Good luck with your new home and the upcoming family addition. You will end up with 49 years of vacations instead of 50, so it won't be a really big deal to wait.

It seems likely that Disney will still be selling first-round SSR at that time. Even if they sell out sooner (can they finish building sooner???), there are always resales available for every resort. You'll do fine. Just don't be surprised if the price creeps up a little.

My guess is 8-10 years, 6 at the minimum, assuming 600 units. Maybe even longer if EP comes on board during that time.
