How long do you stay?

I would like to plan our 2nd trip to WDW/Universal. Our 1st trip was very magical.......14 days that included a 4 night cruise. I don't think that we will have that kind of time this time. Would 7 nights be enough? How long do you go for?

Thanks

Our first trip was 7 nights 8 days. We were able to do all of the major parks, BB, and DD.

Our trip in April will be 9nights 10 days. This time we will Disney Quest, Typhoon Lagoon and maybe mini golf.

There's so much to do outside of the parks. I don't think we'll ever be able to do it all in one trip.

I guess we'll just have to keep going back.:yo-yo:

I dream of the vacation where we can spend 14 days in Orlando. So far we have only done 1 day visits and 2 - 3 nights/4 days visits. Our upcoming trip will be 5 nights/4 days at Disney.

I will go out on a limb and say that the avg. vacationer stays in Orlando for 5-7 days. I know that our short trips have been very fun but not long enough.

Our average stay is 3 days, but we will occasionally stay 7 days.

We typically go for 5 or 6 nights depending on holidays and our remaining DVC points.

We did take one trip for 11 days back in 2002. We didn't stay at DVC then...had a room at WL. Not having our own car (to do what we wanted) combined with having little recouse but to eat restaurant food, we were ready to go home by the 7th day. Now I can easily see doing 7-8 days in the World then bopping off to Vero for a few days of absolutely nothing. :)

I've never stayed longer than 3 days but I only live 2 hours away, so we've usually done day trips or weekends. We'll be going for 5 whole days in September :Pinkbounc

Our stays are 5-7 nights. That's about all our vacation time from work will allow! :(

For us can't be less than 14 nights, this is our main yearly vacation and would not be worth it for less time. Especially coming from really really cold temperatures, so cold our children have to stay in all the time at school.

We've only gone once so far (well, once together, I once went by myself for one day :p ) and we stayed for 4 nights. I imagine our next trip will be about the same length.

Oh, to be able to stay for 2 weeks!! What a dream!! :sunny:

our previous trips have always been 7 days. this past one was 10 and I liked the pace better...4 days commando to see what we really wanted to ,then what , when and how we felt determined the rest. we only took 1 full day off from the parks but spent only a few hrs at Mk one day. it was a nice lesuirely pace. *could* have stayed longer but didn't really *need* to..I'm just NEVER ready to come home!

I have done anywhere between 5 and 10 days. Although its pretty much go go go on the 5 day trips, I still have enjoyed myself. And I think the more I go to WDW, and the more I know I will be going back, I just see whatever interests me on a particular trip and know that whatever I miss will be there the next time.

In any event, I think 7 days is a good amount. :)

We love the longer stays because you can relax & enjoy instead of going commando style. It really makes it more of a vacation for us. I feel like I'm on the go at home all the time & I don't want to feel the same way on vacation.

We take a 2-week trip around Easter every year & for the past few years have taken another one in Nov. or Dec. for 7 or 8 days.

I definitely prefer longer than 4 or 5 days because as I said, we like to relax at the pool a few days or just do other things & not just parks. We look at WDW as a resort, not just theme parks.

Our next trip is for 17nights/18days!! We skipped this past year to be able to go for an extended vacation and now with PAP's will go at least 2 more times on those passes........maybe 3 if I can talk DH into another!!!

This makes the most sense for us. We would fly whether we go for 2 days or 10, so that expense will remain about the same regardless. We always stay at the AS, so we try to pay under 100/night. We rent a car around 250 each time, and split our meals between the food court, counter service, snacks, a few character meals, and some off site meals. We use APs, and stay long enough, so if we don't take a second trip, we're not losing any $. Its my souvies that cost the most!

what they really need to make is a " souvie voucher'! went over budget on that and those Ghiradelli sundaes which could be a potential pit fall for a longer trip since that means more time for more trips to DTD, the danger zone for both.:)

Our "trip of a lifetime" was 6 days. Definitely not long enough. The next 2 trips were 11 days. Now, we stay 15 days.

Our first trip we stayed 6 nights.

Our second trip we stayed 8 nights.

This trip we are staying 9 nights.

Our Dec/Jan trip will be for 24 nights--I've rented a house.

I always stay 7 days. When I was a youngin', we would take 2 weeks and drive down, spending the nights at different hotels down the coast. Then we'd spend 7 days at WDW, then drive back up. It was always a lot of fun. I prefer flying though. It gets me there faster!

We stay Sunday till Saturday each trip. But with less than 5 years till retirement.....we plan to spend the winter months at Ft. Wilderness! Maybe I'll get a part-time job there so we can get into the parks free.

Our last two trips have both been 14 nights, and our next one in september will be the same. (not much point in coming all the way from England for less than that).

However, next year I'm aiming for 3 weeks if work will allow!:hyper:
