Pretty sure it has to come from the first set of points that are given. Not sure if they'd let you sell it back months later if you hadn't used the points but I imagine not. Probably okay within the 10 days rescission period.

The 4 day period refers to how much in advance you must sell the points back should you decide to if you buy right at the end of the use year.

Direct from DVC website: "Purchasers must communicate their decision to participate in this offer to Developer at four (4) calendar days prior to the end of their first Use Year."

But, that doesn't mean you could sign a contract today with a Dec UY, and then wait until November 26th to make a decision on whether you want to do MB. It's part of the terms of your contract and has to be decided before you sign it (if you had not closed, you might be able to call your guide and have them re-write it, not sure). But, if you have a Dec UY, you could wait until November to call your guide, take advantage of the incentives at that time, and still take advantage of MB for 2024 UY points.
