How long did your tasting session last?

My PS is 9 - 1 and my tasting is at 2:30. How much time does this usually take? I'm making a rough schedule for our trip and trying to decide what we have time for that day Thanks girls!

My tasting was from 9:30-11am but we were really happy with everything so we were there about an hour. I guess if you have more to discuss than it would take longer.

Our tasting was scheduled from 2:30-4:00 pm...we were done by 3:30. Everything was so good, we were happy with everything. I guess if you discussing allergies or preferences it could last longer.

Mine was from 2:30 - 4, and I was super happy with everything...but I talk a lot. We got finished at about 3:45 I think....Amy was able to take me up to see The Attic and we got done there right at 4 PM.

ours was about a little over an Hour. It goes pretty fast, unless you have a lot of things you want to discuss or change. :)

We had our tasting on June 3 and it lasted closer to an hour and a half. We loved every minute of it. I think it started at 2:30pm and we definitely didn't need to go out to dinner afterward as we were still so full! Happy planning!

Hi. I just read your planning journal, and have a question. What are you actually doing for your planning session? We've been to DFTW to meet with our Sales Consultant Michelle Gilhouly already. We've done our site visit already, but we weren't able to discuss floral or food yet.

We were going to make a trip down again in Oct/Nov for the PS, which we would discuss decor/floral, etc. But we didn't think we'd be able to do a food tasting until 4 - 6 weeks out from our wedding. Since we're getting married in June, we couldn't do a tasting until April. I can't fly out for that - tax season & all.

I see that you are doing your PS and tasting at the same time. Do I have wrong information that we can't do a tasting at our same PS? We're having a buffet, but we're having our reception at ADH.

Well, I guess we're slightly different...our tasting lasted over 3 hours. We used an a la carte menu so we went through a lot of different things. We also had a sommelier there to try various wines to pair with the courses. And our chef happened to be from upstate NY too so we had a lot to talk about. It never felt rushed and they took their time to be sure we chose what we wanted. It was quite wonderful. And we definitely did NOT need dinner afterwards. :rotfl:

This is just to update any new viewers of this thread.

We had our tasting session, and it was from 2:00 until about 4:30. We did make some changes, but not too many.

All of our food was cooked in front of us, so I'm sure that's why it took so long.
