How Long Did Your Seller Take to Accept Offer?

& return their documentation. In my case i believe it is electronic delivery as my offer was. Only one presented BTW @ full price, etc.

Not my first rodeo with resale & I realize there was a holiday weekend, but it's been over a week since docs were presented and I'm getting antsy.

Just wondering how long others have waited recently before i inquire of broker again.

I sold 2 BCV contracts in the last few months. One was listed and full price offer in about 5 hours. Docs were sent the same day.
The other took longer to get an offer, but once we agreed on a price, the docs were received the same day.

I also purchased a contract and those docs came the same day.
You might check with the broker. A week sounds a bit long if they really want it.

Depends on how busy the broker and seller is. To you this is your only focal point, to the broker, just another sale. To the seller, they are giving up something that may be difficult to do and/or they may be busy with everyday life.

Have a few other irons in the fire with RL lol, just occurred to me it seemed longer than last two times...but that's been some years' past.

Could be docs are sitting on brokers desk tied up in a big bow.

It was a 'cheapie', almost expect ROFR to be exercised. Naturally, a bunch of other interesting ones have hit market after a long lull. feast or famine

Within 24 hours, our seller accepted our offer. We are currently waiting on them to sign the final closing documents. I was surprised how quickly and how smoothly the process has gone so far.
I probably just jinxed getting the closing documents signed in the next day or so though by saying that. LOL

It is acceptable to contact the broker for updates, especially if a week has gone by.

I did email broker last Friday, told it's still out. Will give it till Friday.

Probably in fine print of the contract somewhere, but may have to invoke an opt out so we can persue other options.

Closing out the thread, i emailed broker again, coincidentally was submitted for ROFR yesterday. Looked at the docs, they were signed by sellers same day i submitted mine.

Ahem, i shall rise up and be hopeful i pass lol
