How long did you know your SO before you got engaged?

DH proposed 9 months after we started dating (he said he knew the first time he saw me that we would be married) and we married 3 years and 2 months later. We have been married for 22 years now and he still treats me like a princess.

DH and I met in March '75, engaged in May and married in September that same year. It's been 30 years now and we're still very, very happy.

1st time was about 10-11 months of dating (knew each other a year prior though)

2nd time was about 1.5 years of dating... that one lasted

My DW and I met while she was still in college. I am four years older, so I was out. We first started dating when she was a sophomore, so we waited until she graduated before getting married.

We dated almost exactly two years before we were engaged.

Dh and I get engaged about a months shy of dating 2 years. Amazing we made it considering three months after we met he went 3.5 hours away to college and I saw him only about once a month that first year.

We were dating about 4 1/2 years before we got engaged. We started dating in high school...that's why it took so long to get engaged.
