How Long Did It Take Your Luggage?

I'll be using DME for this first time in a week. I know the information says it takes about 3 hours to get your luggage. What has your experience been? Were you surprised how fast you got it or did you take it much longer?

We have used DME four times. We don't know how long it took for our luggage to arrive on three of the trips, as we were out enjoying WDW.

First time - arrived at MCO about 1pm, arrived All-Star Sports around 2:30 pm, went to Epcot, arrived back at the room about 11pm luggage was there.

Second time - arrived at MCO about 3pm, arrived at Pop Century about 4pm, went to Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Pleasure Island, got back to room about 2am, luggage was there.

Third time - arrived at MCO about 1pm, arrived at All-Star Music at 2:30p pm, went to Magic Kingdom and Chef Mickeys, got back to room about 9pm, luggage was there.

(The two times it took us 90 minutes to get to the resort was because we were transporting an ECV and it took 15 minutes after getting off the plane to get the ECV brought up the elevator to the concourse). The 60 minute trip we didn't have to wait on the ECV, but did stop by the EarPort Disney Store to purchase annual passes.

Fourth time - arrived at MCO about 11:00 pm, arrived at Ft. Wilderness resort about 12:45 am. (Had to wait on ECV, also had to drop by carousel for gate checked bag. It was packed OK to fit under the seat, but TSA searched it and we didn't have time to repack it carefully enough to fit it under the seat again, so the airline checked it for us.) Once we checked in at Ft. Wilderness, and went to the restroom, our bags arrived and they took us and our bags to our site in a van.

Within 2 hours all 3 times we've used ME. Never a problem!

We just used on our first trip Sept 12-19 at the POP.
There was no one at the check in, we first stopped to get our mugs and a cold drink at the food court and went straight to our room.
Believe it or not - they were bringing our luggage up on the same elevator we were on!!

So we received our luggage preety much immediately.

In December, we stayed at POP. It took probably 3 hours to get our luggage (maybe a little bit longer). Last week, staying at CR, we saw our luggage being brought up to our room as we were heading over to the monorail (so, probably less than 1 hour since we checked in).

I think alot has to do with how crowded it is. In December, it was alot more crowded (I know people say it's a slow time, but it was crowded that 2nd week of Dec). Last week when we flew in, there was no one. The plane only had 44 people on it. The ME bus going to CR was empty except for us (we had to wait around for more people). The check-in line at CR was empty when we got there.

We've used ME 3 times. First time, the luggage was in our CSR room before we got to the room. 2nd and 3rd times were at POR. We arrived very late one time and asked that they hold our luggage until morning. They did and we got it at about 8:00 a.m. (had night clothes, toiletries, and a change of clothes in the carry on). The other time at POR we went to the parks and our luggage was in our room upon return. Could have been up to 6 hours, but who cares.

We arrived at 10:40 PM on August 22 for our stay at POP. Our bags arrived at our room at about 1:30 AM.

In 2005, I have no idea when it arrived as we landed at 9:45am and were at the parks all day. When we got to our room that night at ASMU, the bags were there.

We used DME on 9/21 and we got to CBR around 7ish. We checked in and received our rooms. We went to the rooms to check them out then off to the food court to eat. When we got back our luggage was in our rooms. I would say this was around 9. It worked great for us.
