How long did it take for you to get to your resort on DME?

We are going at the end of September and will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside. Our plane lands at 10:45am. When should I expect to arrive at POR? I am hoping my two 4 year olds won't lose their little minds after an early morning and a lot of traveling/waiting.

It takes about 30 minutes from MCO to WDW if memory serves me correct. I would factor in at least 15-20 minutes (if not more, have to fill the bus, get settled, etc.). If you land at 10:45 am, say you're on the bus by 11 or 11:30, I would guess you would get to POR by or around noon. I understand, I have a tween and a toddler - impatience in many forms - LOL!

Also to add, the buses have tv's that play a fun video about your trip. My kids like watching it. Also on the negative, your bus might stop at french quarter too. The buses try to double up sometimes to save trips and to pack up the buses. They are right next to each other. I would say that you should be at resort by 12:00-12:30 latest.

Last night our flight landed at 10:30pm, we were on board ME at 11, we left the airport at 11:25, stopped at AOA and got off at POP around midnight.

Keep in mind that ME may stop at 2-3 other resorts before it gets to yours, so it may take a little longer than you think.

Figure about 1 1/2 hrs. You have to travel to the other side of the airport on the shuttle, and then go down two levels and to the end(about 10-15 min) where DME check-in is (about 5 min.) and then wait on your bus for it to fill as PP mentioned(usually about 15 min.) I'm guessing you will want to stop and use the bathroom when you get off the plane, especially with 4 yr. olds! You might also want to grab them a snack or have something extra in your bag since you won't get to the resort till around lunchtime. The video is entertaining for the kids, so once you sit down on the bus, hopefully the kids can watch, and have a snack and a drink while you wait, and then make the drive(30 min.). The buses do often stop at one or two other resorts close to yours, you may or may not be first. If you've done online check-in you should be able to get through quickly, and unless your room is ready early, you can leave any carry-ons at the baggage desk to hold, and can jump on another bus to head to the parks! Or go grab lunch at the resort if you are not heading out right away. As you probably know, you do not have to grab your luggage at the airport, and it will arrive about 3 hrs. later, and be delivered to your room once it's ready.

Usually we are at the resort about 1 1/2 hours after the flight lands- that assumes you are not going to baggage claim to pick up your own luggage. The longest it has taken us is 2 hours.

It has never taken us more than 90 minutes from getting off of the plane to getting to our resort. Sometimes less. The bus ride is cool with Disney videos to get you pumped. I think your kids will be fine.

We landed at 8:30pm on March 30. We were the first ones on a bus going to Poly. We waited 30 minutes to depart with only 3 families aboard. The bus driver kept coming about and telling us he was waiting to be "let go." I believe the buses leave when full or after 30 minutes, whatever comes first. We got off the bus at the Poly 1.5 hours after landing in Orlando. That seems to be pretty normal for us.
