A local radio station is having a marathon rollercoaster ride contest. The last person left on, wins a car.

They started with 36 people a week ago today and as of this morning were down to 3 people, all women.

The give them bathroom and meal breaks. They have to sleep on the rollercoaster (not while it's running, they do stop it at night). They all got to bring a pillow, blanket and a luxery item.

This morning they were saying it was right around 1,300 rides on the coaster that they've done.

So, could you make it?

Nope. My son probably would do it though. He's nuts.

I could! Do you know what coaster it is? If it's a Bolliger and Mabillard or an Intamin I'd have no problem!

What type of coaster is it? If it's a "stand-up" coaster, no way...I'd never last. But a steel coaster, where you sit down, would probably be okay. I might put up a good fight...but, who has a week off to do that? I gotta go to work! :p

Nope. I'm quite sure I would puke within the first 30 minutes!::yes::

Yes, I could. However, I would have reservations about a wooden coaster, unless they give out free Excedrin.

LOL! I have a hard enough time just getting in line to one. I'm chicken.

I rode the Hulk over at IOA 4 times in a very short period of time and that about did me in. I got off to go back through the line (no people in line) between each time so I had a break. This is not something I could do.

Not too long! LOL AT least not any more! On our recent trip to Hershey Park we rode one rollercoaster back to back, and that was enough!!

I just asked my hubby this, and he said "no problem!" This is the man that did the Stand By Your Van thing and lasted 59 hours, so riding a roller coaster should be easy!! I on the other hand could probally not do it for that long, a couple of days top.

Oh mannnnnnnnn they're doing it on the Wild Thing at VFair?

I could do it...that coaster gives a really smoooooth ride!

Get me there and time off work.... and I am all for it! haha

I'd have no problem staying on for as long as need be. I love them - I might get bored after a bit, but I'd ride and ride until the very end!

My DD was at Valley Fair on Sat 6/19 and saw the radio contest riders. She said they looked tired and definitely like the could use a shower. My kids say winner gets a Scion whatever that is.

Depending on the coaster, sure! That coaster sounds great!

Hey, I'm off for the summer... (perks of working at a school!)

I need a car...

Hmm.... I bet I would wind up with a case of "coaster butt".
