How long can I wait to purchase MVMCP tickets?

I'm planning to go the first Tuesday in December. Supposedly it is one of the dates that is not as popular but I don't want to assume that is true for this year. I think the tickets are non-refundable and you can't switch the day, correct? I'm pretty certain of my plans but I'm also afraid to commit the money too early, just in case.

You are correct on both - they are non-refundable and they are non-switchable

We always purchase in advance becuase we don't want to run the risk that it sells out before we can get there and purchase tickets. Its one less thing ot stress out about.

Others will have different opinions - and thats ok! It really comes down to how stressed do you want to be about it?

In prior year I would say depends on what dates but I think every party last year Halloween and Christmas were sold out

I bought tickets for a Thursday party in early in December 3 days before. We couldn't decide if we wanted to go and I was waiting to see what the weather would be since they are non refundable.

Last year the first Tuesday sold out 2 days before (Sunday). I was there and couldn't decide if I wanted to go. I went to the concierge desk on Monday and was told they sold out the day before.

I have already bought mine for November. It just makes me feel better to know that it is already taken care of, one less thing to worry/think about.

We're hoping to go to one the week before but we're going to wait until around Thanksgiving to decide for sure and order our tickets. If it sells out, it sells out.

I'm planning on going on 11/13. I already have my room reservation. Once SW releases its fares (or shortly thereafter), I will book my flight and at the same time will book my MVMCP tix. If it rains, I'll end up buying some good golf rain gear and suck it up :-)

when will they release their flights?

Not sure about halloween, but not every party sold out for MVMCP last year. The first party to sell out last year wasn't until the Nov 20th party. so all of the parties before that were not sold out. I went on Thursday Nov 12th and it was practically empty. When and if a party does sell out, it typically doesn't sell out until closer to that actual date. So it still depends on the night.

I waited until I was at Disney on my trip to buy MNSSHP tickets last year (and they were sold out every party) just buy at least 4 days in advance and you should be fine (unless it's Halloween that sells out pretty quickly)

Edit: MVMCP is less likely to sell out in advance. If you want to wait on the weather you'd probably be ok buying a week in advance

We're going to MVMCP on 11/13 too! That's my daughter's 16th birthday. The trip is going to be a surprise for her. I bought our tickets for the party already. I sure hope it doesn't rain though.

We had thought about waiting when we went a couple of years ago but decided we better lock them in just to be safe. I ended up being very glad we bought them early--they sold out much more quickly than I anticipated. (The date we went is typically busier, though.)

I bought ours for the Dec 13th party last night. I hate the thought of laying down $288 that could be lost if plans change but I just started getting this nervous feeling that if they sold out it would totally mess up the schedule I have spent hours putting together for our trip in Dec and also how upset my daughter would be. Crazy the amount of planning that goes into these trips now days. I am old enough to remember the olden days (1990's) when I used to just go and wing it. But then everything has changed not just Disney I guess. I can also remember going to Red Sox games day of game in the 80's and just walking up and getting seats 3 rows from the field inside the baseline for under $12 a ticket. Ahh the good ol days. lol
