How long between trips?

Just curious, we went in Dec. for 12 days. We bought the AP so we could go again within the year. We have narrowed our choices between May and Sept. (school is not an issue yet). Leaning towards May is this too close?

It's never too close. I was just at WDW in December and am planning a short weekend in February.

If I had to choose between May and September, I would choose September. The crowds are usually smaller and the weather is still VERY warm. Best of luck with your decision.

I agree, never too close. I was there at the end of August last year and in late October. I now have a few days off at the end of the month due to switching jobs and I am trying to decide if I'll spend those days at WDW!'

I like September better than May too. I been a couple of times in September and was able to walk on almost everything. Of course, you could do both and really take advantage of that annual pass!

Never too many trips to WDW - one year (before school was an issue) we took 4 trips to WDW and one 3 night cruise. I would disagree and vote for early May - we've been the end of September many times and found it very hot and humid - just my twocents worth.

Well, last year I went in Jan, March, July, and then In Dec. so-I think you can never go too much!! Maybe you should go both times--you know-to be fair...haha

Count me in the "it's never too soon" group. We were just there in december and we're going this year in March, April (four weeks after the march trip) and December again.

My vote is for May. We went first of May and end of September of 07 and liked the weather better in May (much too humid for my liking in September), and in all honesty I didn't see *that* much of a difference in the crowds. In fact our next trip (won't be until 2009) will be end of April/first of May because we found it so nice.
AND if for some reason you find yourself able to go again between May and AP expiry time you may be getting a huge value out of your pass.

We always go in Dec to see the Christmas lights and then again in May for mothers day. We go a third time in the year if we can pull it off! so no it isn't too soon!

OMG!!!! It is never too early. We were just there in November and are going back in March..We havent told anyone because we always get that " You're going again??!?!?" response. The best is my aunt is already making plans for Easter at my house!!!! Little does she know that will be the first day of our Disney trip!!!

Is it too soon? Hmmm, well that answer depends on who you ask in my house. My DW would say "yes", me....I would say "HE%$ NO!!!!". We just went for a quick trip the week between Christmas and New Years and I'm off again with my two kids in Feb and then again with the whole family and another family in April. So, I say, never "too soon".

As far as which time to go, I like Kurby's answer, "why not go both times???". Especially, if school is not a factor now. Because if you have kids, it WILL be, so might as well take advantage of it now. Either way, good luck. Sounds like the kind of dilemma to be in if you have to be in one.

My first reaction is also, Why not go both times? Hey, you already have your park tickets, if you can use points then that takes care of your room, you have to eat no matter where you spend those weeks either home or at Disney (aren't those DVC kitchens great?), so really the only costs should be your transportation. Do you like the way I budget?

I agree, you can never go too often or stay too long, but I would suggest May instead of September. We hate the weather in September...hot...humid...chance of hurricanes... LOVED May though and the Flower and Garden festival!

There are some activities for youngsters at Flower and Garden festival, and I am partial to going in May. Then there may be Halloween parties in September, so, it's only money, my vote is try to go both times! If you can only do 1, I would say May. I like the Flower Power Concerts too, and sometimes the smaller kids just love to dance to the music, so they enjoy them too!

Let's see, like the other posters, I agree that it is never too soon. But then again I am a bit biased. I am going in May, November and December this year and there is only 3 weeks between the November & December trips.

I haven't been to WDW in September so take my opinion for what's it worth. But I would recommend May because EPCOT is so nice during the flower show.

Never too close.

In 2007 we spent:

May: 8 nights at SSR
Summer: 3 nights at Dolphin, 6 nights at BCV
Christmas: 6 nights at AKV

I am now planning our summer trip. We might go twice!!
I get to make our ADRs later this month!!

This year we went Jan, July, Sept and November. We are going back in June and October this year. I say there are never too many Disney trips. Also Sept was very HOT!! I think every day was atleast 94 degrees!!

Our two closest trips were about 6 weeks apart (annual passes and SW ding fares!).

I'd agree. Early May was fine when we were there but September felt like we were walking in H e double hockey sticks. WAY too hot and humid for me.

I agree...never too close. We were "home" sick as soon as we got on the plane to head back, after spending two 2 weeks at Christmas, so we planned our next Disney trip and booked for Apr 27-May 4 and then again for Nov 27-Dec 7th. We wish we lived closer so we could go more often, for short little trips in between!!!
