If you book thru Disney or with a
travel agency specializing in WDW travel, it's 45 days.
If you used a TA who isn't familiar with WDW, I'd ask. Unless it's an agency rule that packages must be paid 60 days ahead. Disney will not cancel before 45 days. Warning bells are going off, sounds like TA knows nothing about WDW.
Also if you used a TA who doesn't specialize in Disney travel I'd watch the WDW web site under specials. Currently they have the winter specials out, and just released spring specials. Just to make sure you're getting the best price, and not missing out on any special.
In future I strongly recommend you use an agency that specializes in Disney travel. They are called Authorized Disney Vacation Planners, and on their web site you'll also see a mickey ears, and says ear marked.
Regular TAs may not look for specials, and may not know or look for when WDW promos are released. So it would be up to you to look, then try to phone TA to have discount applied, if TA is even in that day. Discounts go fast. Most WDW specialized TAs will automatically adjust your res to promo rate the moment they come out.
