How long before booking appeared on MDE?

Hey everyone!

Long story short but I've had to move my holiday back by a few days in September. I didn't want to lose my night at the Contemporary so I've had to split my original 11 nights into 7 nights and then 4 nights (after the Cont). This has meant I had to get 2 new bookings from Disney UK because the 4 nights weren't available at the original hotel so now I'm staying at Art of Animation (gone from having 2 hotels at Disney to 4 in the same amount of time!).

Anyway, I was wondering how long it took before your bookings appeared on MDE (and if anyone has had a similar experience) and also if I'm going to lose my FPs from my original booking. Still within 60 days for my whole trip now. Thanks guys!

It took a couple of months for my booking to show up but as yours is only a month or so away I guess it could be any day. I spoke to a CM a few times about the MDE and each time they said that coz we book via a UK TA inc Disney UK they have to input them manually so it takes longer than expected

I'm sure my original booking didn't take that long and I'm sure the lady on the phone talked about linking the reservations. Maybe because it's the weekend it's taking a little while.

I had to change my dates with Disney and add in flights and was told it could take up to one week before the new booking showed on MDE. It took exactly a week but the day I phoned was the last day of the $200 gift card with UK Disney bookings and they were particularly busy. She did say if it wasn't showing in the week to phone back.

Hi all,

Been a while since I've been here, but I booked last Wednesday for Sept 2016 (Yay!) and the lady at Disney said it takes 72 hours for bookings to appear on MDE, she said leave it until after the weekend. I'll check it again tomorrow and if it doesn't go through then I'll give them a call.

Just called Disney and the girl there couldn't find my reservation, which panicked me slightly! She transferred me to reservations who did find me on the system but said it could take another few weeks as we have booked an accessible room, and these take longer to show on the system. Mm, not sure if I believe that or not but I'll try again in August!

OK, I shall give it until weds and then if it's still not up I'll phone them again to double check. If I'm going to lose my fastpasses I'd like to redo them before the off-site people have their 30 days. Then there would be no chance of that A&E fastpass!

I just altered a booking and they told me 72 hours for it to show up on MDE too, that was Saturday morning and it was there just now. I think in all honesty the time scale varies massively.

If you cancelled and rebooked a package with tickets, then I might suggest re-doing fast passes because those tickets are effectively now invalid, if you've just altered a booking or booked room and tickets separately and only cancelled the room, they should be fine. Or that is how I understand it anyway.

Yep only redid the room. Got the tickets separately through undercover tourist. It's still not showing up so I'll give it till tomorrow and then call them again just to double check
