My Boyfriend and I will be going to Florida in May and we are staying at a Disney Resort for 10 days. We are going to do the Disney Parks, Seaworld, and Wet N Wild. We would also like to do Universal and IOA. We are 21 years old so there are no children with us or anything like that. How long do you think we need at Universal and IOA? Can we do them both on 1 day or should we do them on 2 separate days? Any tips and ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

We have a 10 year old and have been to both UA and IOA before, so we know what we like and what we don't. Even so, I think it would be a very long day to try to do both parks in one day. You would need to go from opening to closing to get to everything in one day, and that's only if you have purchase fastpass (or stay onsite).

Anyway, I would suggest doing UA on one day, then IOA on the next day ... you can take your time and enjoy yourself more in my opinion. It is the same for me for the Disney Parks, I would feel way too rushed if I tried to do more than one in one day.

Thanks so much for the reply! We will definitely take your advice and do 1 park a day...especially since we don't know all of the rides so we will be wandering around a bit. Do you think we should purchase the Fastpass? Is it possible to go into the park and then if it seems really busy go back to the Ticket Booth and add on a Fastpass?

I don't think May would be too busy. If you arrive at the gate 30 min before opening and hit the high demand attractions, you should be able to do everything without buying the Express Passes.

OT...MSWint.... hello from another Canton resident. Now I have IASWAA running through my head LOL

i have been to Universal studios and IOA before but had never done the two parks in one day.

when i went there two weeks ago - for 7 dollars more you can get a day ticket that lets you into the two parks.

i bought it anyway and after 4/5 hours in Universal - I popped over to IOA.

i didn't get to do many of the rides at IOA but as i have done it before I just done Spider Man, Jurasstic Park River Adventure and Cat in the Hat.

It is okay if you have been before and just want to do some highlights of the second park that you visit in that same day.

have fun. :)

Don't lessen the experience by trying to rush it all into one day. Enjoy yourselves and take two. Do the shows, see the sights, make it an adventure instead of a marathon.

you will have less crowds at the beginning of may than at the end.
memorial day weekend brings in more people.

be at the parking garage by 8 and at the ticket turnstyle by 8:20ish
UO usually opens the park to guests before official opening time.
some rides will not be open until 9 or 10.

eat at off times to avoid crowds. when it is lunch time spend it on the rides and eat later.

if you have a plan, start early, stay until closing, you could, depending what part of the month you go, do a lot in the park.

i wouldn't do anything less than 2 days for the parks.
you just can't see it all in less than that.

you probably won't have time to do city walk in the 2 days at UO

hope you enjoy your visit at UO:yay:
