There have only been a couple of posts about ROFR being exercised. I truly don't think you'll have a problem, the LARGE majority of times all goes well.

It took 10 days once everything was submitted to Disney for me to hear they waived ROFR. 250 points @ $71/pt, BWV, MF paid for 2004, no points until December of this year (which worked fine for me because I had already rented for September and January, not realizing I would fall in love with BWV after my first visit in May of this year).

I have my fingers crossed! And don't forget you can always make a counter offer if by some chance WDW does exercise ROFR. And there will always be other contracts to buy if worst comes to worst and this one doesn't work out

Mine took 6 weeks! 6/18-6/23 150 pts +23 banked OKW 70/pt.. It took forever but we passed, now we are waiting forever to close! I was told tomorrow or early next week!

DVC only has 30 days to exercise ROFR if memory serves me right. You must be counting other processing time in your 6 week figure. Maybe your broker, or someone sat on the paperwork prior to sending it in to DVC.

Perhaps, those where dates that were given to me. Actually I miscalculated, it took five weeks. I was told that the 30 days can sometimes be approximate due to holidays, weekend submissions etc. All I can tell you is that it was a long 5 weeks! Especially since other contracts were going buy at lower prices in about 2 weeks. The timeshare store had no explaination why ours took so long. Seem like Disney is like the phone company. Don't complain, it's Disney!

Does anyone think it matters that my paticular time share has 580 bank points, (280 that have to be used by the end of Nov. mind you). I dont' know if that is something that Disney looks at. Hope they let us know soon so that we can use those points and get something.

Ours took 11 days to pass ROFR. Submitted to Disney on July 12 and we heard on July 23rd. It's at VWL 250 pts. All 2004 points intact and a June use year. $70 per point and we are paying closing costs. Glad it went through before the policy change at Disney. Sending pixie dust your way!

I didn't used to think so but maybe things have changed in recent days. I thought Disney was more interested in $/pts because when I was going thru our own ROFR process, there were several other contracts with significant banked points passing ROFR. Our contract passed ROFR in 8 working days and came with 77 banked pts. & all of 2004 points intact. We paid the entire maintenance and closing fees.

Thanks for the help. If they buy it up, then I think I will just wait until California is deeded for SSR and then pay the $1 extra to get the extra ten years. I don't want to be stuck at the end of the list and be waiting months and months. Hopefully I won't have that problem.
