How late did your Planners stay?

I'm just curious. Did your planners go to your DP? or stay all the way until the end of your reception?

I'm just curious to see if they'll be there from the beginning to the end or if they have a specific stop time.

I'm curious about this too - although I don't think I remember reading anything about planners staying for the DP. I think they usually leave after the reception. Please correct me if I'm wrong...

mine stayed throughout my reception, but she wasn't underfoot. i think she was in an office or conf room in the living seas. anytime i needed her she was there in an instant. i didn't have a dp though, so i'm not sure if they stay for the whole thing or not.

My DD was married this past Friday night. We rented a friendship boat to take us to the dessert party and our planner walked us to the boat dock and said good night there and the EPCOT guide took over from there. HTH

For my Welcome Party (held on the night prior to my VR), my Event Manager was there for most of it. He had to leave early, though, since he had a wine test the next morning (yes, a wine test!). There were plenty of Cast Members around so he was not missed.

For my VR, my Event Manager was there for pretty much the whole thing. He was in the background but sprung into action when needed.

For example, right before dinner was served, my nephew came down with diarrhea. My sister thought it best to get him back to their resort as quickly as possible, so my Event Manager immediately led my nephew & sister to private transportation that took them directly back to their resort. And then my Event Manager checked on them later on that night to make sure that all of their needs were taken care of. What a sweetheart he was to do that (I didn't know about it until my sister informed me of it the next day).

So, my answer is both yes & no. It honestly depends upon the FTW folks' schedules. But if they have to leave early, they will inform you of this and have back up personnel put in their place. Disney really does do a good job with everything and makes for a seamless transition (a.k.a., changing of the guard).

I have never heard of a WP going to the dessert party. Ours was in an out during the reception - like Caryn said, I think there was a break room where the staff was hanging out when they didn't need to be at the reception.
