how late can you upgrade DDP to DxDP???

Can you upgrade to DxDP when you check in? Or is that too late? My mother keeps changing her mind on the dining plan. Her balance is due oct 26th and I know disney likes upgrades vs downgrades. When is the upgrade cutoff? TIA!!!!!

I believe it's 48 hours-2 days.

To add the DDPs for non-DVC members it's 72 hours (DVC members can do 48). To change it, I'm not sure, but I would err on the conservative side and do it more than 72 hours ahead.
