How late can you get into the MK on Christmas Day?

What's the latest you've managed to get into the MK on Christmas Day before they close the gates due to the park being full? The group I'm going with decided that they wanted to eat dinner in the MK on Christmas so I want to make sure we all make it into the park, lol.

I can see myself now on Chrismas morning... "Hurry up kids... I know it's only 8AM but we've got to get into the park for dinner!!"

You're really talking the worst-case scenario... the most popular and capacity-limited park, on one of the most heavily-attended days of the year. It has closed before 9AM, in some past years. I'd go with your initial instinct and aim to leave for the park by 8AM.

Never been Christmas Day, but it was closed by the time we got there at 10AM on NYE day. EPCOT was the only park still open at 10AM. That was in 1998.

Yes, they do reopen during the day if the attendance goes down enough to warrent. You can check with any guest service office at any of the resorts or theme parks on the status at any time during the day.

My advice is to be at the park that you want to be in all day by 8-8:30 am and do not leave. We tried to park hop on NYE 2000 and it was a disaster. If you're prepared for wall to wall people you'll be fine!!

Yikes... that's what I was afraid of, lol. Oh well, I'm sure the kids will be up at the crack of 5 on Christmas Morning anyways so it shouldn't be a problem getting to the park early!
