How late can you add the DDP when staying with DVC points?

I think you have to add it at least 3 days prior to arrival.

How about cancelling it? Can you just do that before you go. I have the DDP and am a DVC member but have to make a definite decision as to whether I want to keep it :( I am still weighing the pros and cons:(

You'll have to cancel it ahead of time as well.

I would call MS and ask about cancelling it if that is a concern of yours. Since you pay at checkin, it may be possible to just cancel at that point. But I wouldn't chance it without confirmation from MS.

As for adding it, I asked MS about that the other day. We are checking in on a Monday and I haven't added the plan. Probably won't either but asked the latest I could add it and was told Saturday. So my guess is that they want it done at least the last day MS is open before checkin.

Although we've seen different windows cited on this board, the language I've seen from DVC only says "prior to checkin."

We too are DVC members. They told us it was prior to checkin. Which sounds to me like 24hrs in advance. Just call member services and ask them.

By the way, DDP is well worth it. Even if you don't eat all the food... it's paid for in advance, tips included. From my understanding we get an even better discount being DVC members.

Good luck!
We are going Jan 28th - Feb 3rd.

Nope, we pay the same price for the dining plan. We just don't have to purchase tickets or pay rack rate.

Oh okay, thanks for clearing that up.

We just purchased back in October. Our first DVC trip will be in January.
Everything seems so much cheaper because we aren't doing the package deal with tickets, room, airfare and premium dining plan.

This will be our first time to purchase groceries through the online store. How does that work? Do they get those things together after we check in, then call us to pick up? Or do they stock our fridge with the items we purchase?
