How large are the kids' meals?

I am wondering how large kids' meals are at a la carte table service restaurants. When we went back in July all our TS meals were at buffets or family style all you can eat restaurants. So the only actual kids' meals I saw were from CS restaurants.

Could a 3-year-old and a 5-year-old share a kids' meal at an a la carte TS restaurant? I am specifically wondering about Yachtsman's Steakhouse since it is 2TS on the DDP, and we would like to try it on our next trip. DH and I can easily share the porterhouse there for 2 TS, but I am curious about the kids sharing a meal. I know also that even though adult meals do not come with an app, the kids' meals do and it looks like the choices are soup or salad, and they also come with a dessert. Wondering about them sharing and just paying OOP for the second beverage. They would probably want something like pasta, I am not counting on them eating steak or fish. Thanks!

Just trying to get an idea of which places we could share meals, and which would be better to try not to.

Go up to the top of the page and look at the photos of food section (Food Porn as it's called Find the restaurant you are questionning and see if you can find pictures of the kids meals. This will help you determine if the amount of food is enough for a 3yo and 5yo to share.

I'm a light eater and I ordered a kids meal at a couple places we went. I would say at most places a 3yo and 5yo can split if you order an extra side or salad. I felt like the adult portions were too big everywhere we went. The kids were a little bigger than they would be at your average chain restaurant.

I don't have any pictures but I do know that my kids shared both TS and CS meals in April. It worked out, we had 3 kids 2, 4 and 7. So only the older ones got dining credits. More than a few times we split meals, especially as you get apps too. I paid OOP of extras such as drinks and deserts as needed. Your kids are still on the young side and from my experince this age doesn't want a HUGE meal anyway. Add in the snacks during the day and I am sure it will be fine. When all is said and done you know your kids and there eating habbits best, but once your on vacation it may all change

I have done it plenty of times.... And I have been out of high school for years and years and years and years..... Well...you get the point.......

Yep, its easy. They really don't make a big deal out of it. The only place anyone made a stink over it was at Pecos Bill's, and I think it was just a CM going out of his way to be a party pooper.
