Hi everyone
Just wondering what everyone thinks of this place, I have heard mixed reviews and really didn't give it anymore thought, I decided not to eat here, however, now I am considering it just because its a new place at AK...any tips/advice would be great...Thanks:thumbsup2

I liked Yak and Yeti. The food is OK-to-good. The atmosphere is non-existent. I mean, you don't feel like you're in Indonesia or anything. You feel like you're at a chain restaurant that just so happens to sell Asian food. But it's pretty good. Some of it.

The duck that I had was really good. I would recommend that.

But not to sound racist, but I was kinda hoping that the place would fool me into believing that I was in a restaurant located in Southeast Asia. I like that, because the place looks like it's been there forever. But my waitress was from Puerto Rico and it threw the whole mystique off.

1) I found the Yak a little greasy.
2) I think the Yeti was good, especially the Bearnaise sauce.
3) Overall, I would recommend it for a bite on the run.
4) Think Rafe Forrest Café with an Asian flare.
5) We especially liked the cocktails.
6) After three drinks, we liked just about everything.

My family of 5 really liked it. I had the honey chicken and enjoyed it. But then again we don't go to WDW expecting 5 star dining so we could be off on our judgement. But even my 2 picky DS's enjoyed thier meal don't remember what they had though. I remmeber the fried green beans were a huge hit with all of us. I would go back.

We liked it Went in April and going back in Aug.

I'm assuming you're asking about the TS Yak & Yeti...but in case you're not - I had lunch at the outside CS Yak & Yeti & it was just "ok." The portions were huge though for the price - so that was a plus if you want to share a meal. I had the shrimp lo mein & it was very, very bland. Kind of tasted like the cardboard box it came in! But I wasn't expecting much, just wanted to grab something different to eat, so it was fine. There was no seating available (it was lunchtime, obviously) so I took my meal to one of those little side shoot-offs by the water & had a great view while I ate. I'd definitely try it again, but order something different.

Hubby and I have eaten there a few times. We have really enjoyed it every time. The potstickers are outstanding. Duck, outstanding. They had some fish dish that was also outstanding. We haven't had anything bad or just ok/good there yet.

We ate there last month and really enjoyed the entrees. We didnt like apps but that is because we were comparing them to PF Changs.

The mango pie was good but super sweet and DH liked the dessert wontons but they didnt do it for me.

Duh moment, our entrees were the BBQ ribs ... the meat was amazingly tender and flavorful and not fatty

DH had the shrimp skewers and flank steak, both were sooo good!

Haven't been there, but very high on our list of places to go! We have 2 ADR's there in Sept., if we don't like the first time then we'll cancel the 2nd, but the alternative at AK is pretty limited.

Ate there Thanksgiving Day last year and LOVED it!!!!!! You MUST try the pot-stickers and honey chicken! It was on our list of MUST DOs for this upcoming trip. I say try atleast once! :goodvibes

We just ate there again about 2 hours ago, and we still thought it was great. We have another ADR later this week, and we definitely plan on keeping it.

Today we had Ahi Tuna, Egg Rolls, and Potstickers for apps. Ribs, steak and shrimp, and duck for entrees. For desert the trio of sorbet, brownie sundae, and mango pie. Everything was great.

Just keep in mind that not everyone has the same tastes, so you will always find something someone doesn't like. So if you haven't been there, try it and see what you think.
