We are trying to plan a week to go and was wondering how October was for weather and less crowds = easy access to the rides?

Any other months that are good for this as well?

Thanks :earsgirl:

We were there a year ago (10/1-10/8) and it was quite warm - just fine for water parks. It stayed warm into the evenings - we were almost too warm in our MNSSHP costumes....

Crowds were light - we often got everything done in a park with time to spare.

Weather is usually great, and not normally crowded. Weekends can be a little busy because of the Not Scarey Halloween seems to attrack a lot of the locals.

The first few weeks of November are also great. Not crowded, great weather, warm not mucky.

Hubby and I are going for a short stay (Oct 23 to 26) side trip from our first Parent's Weekend at UNF.

cant wait, was there in August but its seems like decades.

For me WDW is the one place i go that i forget about the whole world (work) and just relax and have fun.

We were there earlier this month and the weather was perfect for Typhoon Lagoon and for the MNSSHP. TL did get very crowded by noon, but there still were always some extra tubes on the lazy river. We really enjoyed the lack of lines at the early MNSSHP and thought the evening/night temperatures were wonderful. We didn't have heavy costumes, just themed tees.

PS. We actually decided that as long as we lived in Ohio, we would take an extended weekend trip to WDW during early October. Then what does MS do, plans a Members cruise and if we do that there's no way we can get to WDW next Oct. That's the bright side of not getting through to MS for a cabin on the MC!

Spent five days last October at BCV and the weather was absolutely perfect--warm and dry. Crowds were low, very little wait time for rides and restaurants. And to top all that off, DVC points are alot less for October!::MinnieMo

We love the fall in WDW. We have always gone in September or October (except for our last trip this past May) for the F & W festival, Funai Classic, smaller crowds and at least for us northerners - still some great weather (swimming too!) but not too warm.

It's great for us......................

It's my second favorite time of the year - after the first two weeks of December. My love of Christmas and all of the decorations is the only thing that makes December rate over October.

You can't always be sure about the water parks in December but October is pretty much a sure bet. The Food and Wine Festival is also great.

The weather in Oct is perfect! The humidity is fading each day and it is very pleasant. Was to the Food and Wine Festival and was not uncomfortable at all. It is still hot but not as humid and as each day passes that gets better. Oct is a great month in FL, probably my favorite time of the year other than Spring............come on down and enjoy some of the Food and Wine Festival! It is a little more crowded than normal but still not miserable. I think alot of people who had to postpone trips in Sept. are here but still the wait lines are not long
