We are in the planning stages of our trip. I was curious what the temps usually are twards the end of april, beginning of may. Thank you!

I'm booked for the very end of April myself! I found this site about orlando weather:

orlando-weather.us
Shows both general weather and precipitation information.

Seems like a near-ideal time to go weather-wise. It also seems like one of the "less busy" times to go based on the lower hotel rates during those few weeks, and some "when to go" articles i've read.

We were there last year from April 24-May 2. The weather was fantastic in my opinion. The highs were in the upper 80's and low 90's but very low humidity which actually made it very nice. In the morning when we went to the parks it was very pleasant (probably in the high 70's to low 80's) and we always wore shorts and even if we were out for the evening shows we were always comfortable in shorts and never got cold. We also had no rain the entire time we were there (too early for the FL rainy season!). We were able to utilize the pool at the resort and everyone was great there too. Fantastic weather and when we are able to go back again I wouldn't hesitate to use the same time frame. You miss Spring Break, beat the summer crowds and still get great weather!

We went last year 4/30-5/5. Weather was 80s low 90s. Shorts day/night but never too hot. (although I am definitely cold blooded, and live in upstate NY.) We also didn't find it very crowded. We waited 45min for the safari, but I believe now it has a fastpass? Our longest wait time was probably about 15min, and we walked on many things, and used fastpasses for the rides that we could. I'm jealous.. we're going in August this year and I'm afraid we're all going to melt.

We went years ago (1999, I think) from 4/29 - 5/3 and it was unseasonably cold (50's during the day, I think). I do think that this is the exception rather than rule, however I would make sure to pack a sweatshirt and jeans. Something I didn't do, in the interest of saving room for souvenirs. I was freeezing - and I'm from Massachusetts! I think it was colder at WDW than at home those 5 days!!

I agree with the other posters about the crowds. It's a great time to go - not too busy. Hope you get better weather than we did!

We were there at the exact same time! Wednesday to Wednesday and we stayed at POP.

Crowds were GREAT! We felt the lines were either generally pretty short or went really fast. We have gone around this time the past 3 trips and have never had an issue. As stated, you miss Spring Break but you get there before the schools out.

We went April 28 through May4. The weather was great, no rain, it was hot but bearable, I was expecting it to get chilly in the evening and threw sweatshrits in the stroller and we never needed them. It was comfortable.

Crowds were great. Enough to make it seem exciting but not enough to make you want you feel clautrophobic. We did have one crowded, really hot day at AK where the FPS for KS ran out by noon. Another crowded time was when we went back over for Illuminations one night and we tried to ride Soarin around 6 and the line was 2 hours with no FPs! But we walked on Nemo. These were the only two times we really encountered crowds and waiting.

We were ready to book this time again and then found out about a family wedding in June in Tampa, I hope we dont melt in June.

I'm so excited! We're going from April 26-May 3, and I didn't know it was going to be so warm. That's what you get when you live in Chicago! You forget some places actually warm up before June! :cool1:

Did you all find that you could stay all day without a problem? Since we aren't spending every day at the parks, I'm hoping to make it all day and let the kids nap in the stroller while we hang out on a bench or something. Did the afternoons get super hot?

We are going April 24th-May 1st and was wondering if it would be warm enough to head to one of the water parks. Has anyone gone to the water parks at this time? You guys are giving me hope for warm weather while we're there. :yay:

We go every year mid to late April and definately find it is warm enough for swimming/water parks nearly every day. The weather is usually nice and warm, even hot - it's wonderful!

I am so happy that its usually nice this time of year.
We are going 29 Apr-6 May and I was wondering about
temps and crowds! :cool1:

We went for 2 weeks in that timeframe 2 years ago and it was really nice. It was very comfortable in the morning/evening but got hot during the day. The crowds were pretty low during the week but were high on the weekends. Since it's considered "mid-season" the parks stay open later. We like that because, with small kids we like to go back to room during the hottest part of the day to rest or swim. It's nice to then be able to go back to the parks and still be able to spend several useful hours there. In low season (like September) the parks close so early that's not really feasible.
