How is the weather during the middle of May? And Crowds?

Great question! Here is a link to the Official May Board: May 2012

On the first page you will see a great crowd calendar.

I have been told 90s as high, 75 as low in May. Weather.com says "less then average precipitation in May 2012"

Hope this helps!

May is pretty good crowd-wise IMHO. We were there the first week of May last year and had great weather, but it turned quite warm right after we headed home, so the temps are quite variable.

We've been twice in May and found very light crowds. It's my favorite time to go!

The temperatures were in the low to mid 80s for both trips. I don't remember having any rain, either.

You must have been extremely lucky for the temps to have been in the low to mid 80's!! I'm from so. LA and have been to FL also in May and I would say the norms are more likely to be mid 80's to mid 90's - a little cooler during nearly daily showers (but then very muggy). It's in the 80's down there right now! So prepare to be "quite warm" :goodvibes

May is pretty much the beginning of the summer heat,as you can see April and even March can be pretty warm but May is probably when you might start seeing the temps around 90 degrees most days. Most likely you can expect highs between 86-94.The one good thing is that the rain and humidity haven't started yet so you won't feel like a soggy mess 5 minutes after leaving your hotel.I would tell you that I did experience one of the hottest days at Disney ever in May.We were waiting for a parade under the sun for about 25 minutes on a 97 degree record heat day, after the parade I had to leave and change clothes as I was soaked with sweat, basically expect warm to hot and likely little rain which starts in June.

I've gone in May and had great weather. No rain and it did cool down at night. It's my favorite time of year to go to WDW. The crowds are minimal and manageable!

I went mid May last year and it did not rain at all. Yeah, there were clouds that threatened rain but it didn't actually rain. The weather was warm, but not overly hot and humid. I remember wishing I had a sweater at dusk when there were breezes. May is becoming my Disney World month. It wasn't too crowded either.

Hey couponmommy! I am an avid couponer myself! We just went May 2011 (well, I guess it's been almost a year already!) It rained only once the whole time we were there (11 days). It threatened one other time, and it looked like it was gonna be really bad, but it blew over. Must've been b/c my brother had just arrived for his first trip, and had messed up when getting on the bus. He had ended up having to ride ME, a bus from POR to HS, found out he was at the wrong park, took another bus back to POR, and yet another to MK, and then he had to take the monorail to the Polynesian to meet us at O'hana. He was so angry, and the first words out of his mouth were: "The rides here suck." I don't think the brewing storm with thunder and lightning flashing wanted to mess with his magic. So...it blew over. It was hot, but never too hot, so it was a great trip overall.
