I just looked at accuweather's forecast for Orlando and it's showing 55 degrees right now, with the "real feel" of 47 degrees! That seems kinda cold. Just wondering how it is there and what is everyone wearing. Obviously you can't wear shorts today, but is everyone in coats/jackets?

I've never been to WDW when it wasn't HOT, so I'm anxious to see the weather predictions for the 2nd week of December!

We are leaving next Tuesday (!!!!!) for our first Dec. trip (usually do Aug/Sept) - and I just keep checking weather.com for current conditions and the ten day forecast to help me know what to expect - and the tips from veterans here seems to be to just take a little bit of everything clothing wise and to be prepared for anything. I am still not sure how we are going to work that as far as packing and fitting it all in - packing will be interesting this time!!!! :earsboy:

It is 55 right now but by Thurs it will be 77. You really have to pack for a bit of everything and dress in layers.

There is no way to predict weather accurately more than 3 days in advance. I just returned from the BVI and the weather forcasts were rain and thunderstorms....however we had sunshine and blue skies everyday.

This will also be our first Dec visit (12th -16th). I have also read the temps can be unpredictible so I will pack a few shorts along with warmer clothing.

I live in Orlando. I got up this morning and could tell it was chilly as I was even cold under the covers!

It is not shorts weather today by any means. It's very windy and the sun is going in and out. It was about 59 or 60 when I arrived at work in downtown Orlando this morning at 9am.

By all means you must bring everything when to travel to Orlando at this time of year. It was so warm yesterday afternoon here I was walking at lunch time in my skirt and tank top, by 6pm last night when I left work, the temps had dropped to 55 degrees and I didn't have a jacket! My fault, I should have known better!

www.wftv.com is a great local station. If you are from up North you might find the weather warm. I know when we would come to FL from PA my kids had shorts on in this type of weather.

It is supposed to warm up.

I was in WDW 2 years ago in early December and froze my fanny pack off (and I'm from Seattle)!!!! For me it was the wind. I'm leaving 11/28 for a week and am planning on bringing some gloves and perhaps a hat. I bought some cuddleduds from WallyWorld (WalMart) to wear under a long sleeved T shirt and am bringing a fleece vest............and some tank tops......and shorts......and capris........and jeans........just to be sure.

Best advice I can give is to go to WW and buy some of their 2 pr for $1.50 gloves, same gloves but with Mickey on them cost $7 in the parks.

Speaking of gloves, I went out and bought a pair too! I got some nice fleece gloves at Old Navy 2 for $10.00. They are nice and warm and they are all set to be packed with the rest of my stuff next week!!!

Like everyone else, I'm checking the weather all the time too. Last year in early December, I lucked out and the weather was nice (cooler on both weekends I was there) but in 2002 -- brrrrrrrrr :cold:

Have a great time! (11 days and counting for me!)

Obviously? Why not? I've worn shorts in 40 degree weather. (anything much below that and I'll switch to long pants, but generally, 40 and above, I'll wear shorts). I'm in Orlando, I wore shorts today. By the middle of the day it was around 65.

I'll wear shorts, but it's the wind that gets me.

Just be prepared for anything & everything, weather-wise. I know it's a pain to pack like that, but our weather is acting like a complete yo-yo lately. :rotfl2:

We were in Disney last year the 1st week of December and I was all prepared for cool weather (according to weather reports and reports here) well, of course it was 55/45 the day before we got there and then the whole week we were there is 85-90! It didn't even cool off at night! Then when we got home people were reporting here on the DIS the next day it went down to 55/45 again! So we all had a bunch of sweatshirt, gloves and handwarmers that never left the suitcase! :rotfl: (I know we got so lucky!) Ya just never know about Orlando in December!

DD and I went to MGM today to see the parade. We about froze sitting on a bench waiting. The wind was very strong and made it feel very cold. By the time the sun went down, the wind had died down and I was quite warm in a sweatshirt.

It's kind of chilly in Central Fl tonight. Although, this afternoon was really nice, short sleeve weather.
