Hi all,

How is the view of WISHES from the parade disability spot near the Walt & Mickey statue/Hub at MK. Want to see Spectro from there and just wait there until WISHES. Thanks!:goodvibes

Anywhere around the front of the castle is an excellent place to view Wishes!

If you can stand... ;) At least that's the way it seems to me.

I've always prefered to move over to the Rose Garden after watching Spectomagic. There you can roll right up next to a railing and have an unobstructed view of the fireworks.

Maybe it's just me but whenever I try to watch fireworks in a crowd I always have someone standing in front of me. I find it easier to make sure there isn't a spot for people to stand in front of me during these shows.

We always make sure we're early enough that our spot is "staked out" and if someone walks up and tries to stand in front of DS10 in his wheelchair I just tell them, "Hey, we've been waiting a long time and now you're standing right in front of my son and he can't see ... sit down or move, please."

Last time we were waiting right in the castle forecourt ... the first time we'd ever been than close to really see Tinkerbell fly overhead ... and just before the show was starting, a guy stepped in front of us and THEN put his kid up on his shoulders! I said, "You got to be kidding me, right? We all got here early so we'd be able to see!! If you want to sit down next to us, you're welcome, but don't stand in our way!!"

Being polite but firm has worked every time so far. :)

Most of the time, it seems, people don't even realize they're blocking someone else's view and are usually considerate when it's pointed out without getting nasty.

I agree with Bill. Rose Garden to the right of the castle is the best viewing spot for people in a wheelchair. Tried to view Wishes one too many times where people come up and stand smack in front of you and completely block you. I don't want to look at people's butts and once Wishes starts it is impossible to move.

::yes::
we've watched from there too. It's not dead center, but it's still nice.

If there is space for people to get in front of you, they will. It's not like they are doing it on purpose to block your view. They just look at what is in front of them and not behind them.

Like I said, though, it usually pays to let people know. I've yet to find someone who wouldn't move when they realized they were blocking DS's view.

Most people aren't ignorant on purpose; as you say, they just aren't used to looking around or behind them.

I like the Tomorrowland Bridge. The one closest to the castle. Not a dead on center view but a great view anyway.

I am not positive, but I don't think the handicap seating is set up for Wishes. But it is a good spot to see Wishes- just gets very crowded.

I believe you are right. There is no handicapped seating for Wishes. We saw it around New Years and the CMs told us just to find a spot. The assumption is that since the fireworks are in the sky, there is no need for handicapped viewing area (at least that's what the CMs say, not that I think that).

We watched from there in December.
You can also get a good view of Tinkerbell's flight.
