I am trying to decide if the Contemporary is the resort for us. How is the pool? Is there a slide? Is there anything special about it? Is it big? Is there zero entry? I have a 4 and a 6 year old, and I am so drawn to the BC for the pool, but the Contemporary is so close to MK and has the monorail. HELP!

I don't remember if it's zero entry, however I do know they have a huge slide that I am sure your kids would like. Now the Contemporary pool is not as fancy or themed like the Volcano pool at the Polynesian, or SAB at the Yacht & Beach Club. So it's basically a standard pool but it's a big one. Personally the way a pool looks does not make or break my families decision on where to stay, because that is not the most important thing for us.

Not zero entry.
The least imaginative and blandest and starkest of all resort pools.
The water is wet.
Do not base your decision of staying at CR on the pool.
It's proximity to MK and Monorail is tremendous.

I agree with this 100%. Those factors should out weigh how the pool may look so please remember to keep that in mind when you finally make a decision.

My dd3 loved the pool at the CR. I'm sure she would have loved it anywhere. I wouldn't use the pool as a reason to stay / not stay at the CR.

We are going to WDW in June and are splitting our stay. We will be at the Contemporary for 3 days (and will go to MK on those days) and then staying at the Boardwalk Villas for 4 days. That way we can have the best of both worlds (now I sound like Hannah Montana!!)
